As Erwin said they did the graphical part of the new La Caixa. I'm sure they don't mind when you do the physical part.

I made a start on Barcelona last night as a side project to my Nurburgring. It shouldn't take too long to do in comparison. Havn't made any changes yet, just got all my objects setup and ready to go.

Before I start, this is based on the Barcelona update created by Erwin Maliepaard, Mark Beijer, Ricardo Lampert and Laurent Rousseau. I have no intention in releasing this when completed, unless I get full permission from all authors.

I've rebuild the La Caixa corner, including the track, verges and kerbs, as well as tidy up some other small texture bugs around the area. In Erwin and co's update they put the new corner in as part of the verge... i've done the complete opposite. The new corner is the actual track, and the old turn is part of the verge. This will help later on when/if Laurent sorts the texture mapping bugs in the .gp4->.bin track surface generation feature. (any progress on this btw?) I'm now going to make a start on the .dat file.

@Berger Fan:

Have you got a link to the layout, I haven't had any luck in terms of finding clear map, I've found a very small map that isn't really very good so far. Would be great if you could find me one. :)

Looking good Xero and I hope they will give you permission to release this when you are ready.

@Xero: I don't think, that this is the real Layout of the corner. I thought it a bit harder. Like a hairpin corner...

@tobeast: I think you may be right... was thinking the same thing. I'll have a look for a map and check it.

yeah I think the 'first' corner is much more like a hairpin, which makes the 'second' corner a bit easier, it's a bit tight atm

Yep, just checked, it's a good bit off... back to the drawing board I guess!

Not sure how hard it is to do, but can is straightening the pit entry lane to Melbourne, as it now is, a major ordeal? It was straightened in 2004, and the GP4 version has always annoyed me!!
This is not a request, or demand, but i am just wondering how hard that would be to do and release?

Here is a screenshot of the new "Add multiple sectors" feature that should be available in next 3DEditor version :

the new .dat sectors have been automatically created using a sector quantity (40) and total curve angle (180).
You can also specify the radius as an alternative input.
