No, the side pods will be totally different too, all teams had to totally redesign the cooling system on the cars for next year and cause of that and the new aero rules prepare to see some weird designs like BMW have shown to gain some down force back

Just as I said that I thought wheel covers were banned, look at this monstrosity that McLaren have brought to the test. I bet Bridgestone won't be happy that their logo is getting covered up! btw, what do wheel covers even do again??




All of these weird and wonderful things sticking out of the BMW... now include pipes. Do you think that they're using the KERS to charge the motor in the front wing which they use to alter the angle of the flaps? No idea what the ones at the rear of the car are for, though, in the second pic.

The pipes are the ones coupled to the car when it stops, to cool the brakes down

And the McLaren wheel cover has already been seen earlier in the year, I read it's just a device used in testing sessions to calculate the rotation speed of the wheel.

I just hope this is similar to their definitive 2009 challenger!

That McLaren is awful.
Why aren't they banning wheel covers as well?

pfff those wheel covers are just sensors to look at something at the tyre (how fast it goes or what ever)

Dang these new Cars look discusting!

i think theyd look better if they returned to a wider track like pre 98 cars. they look to weird with slicks on such narrow track.

Renault will be launching their car at the 19th of the 1st of the 2009th.

apparently FI haven't decided on their drivers after all
