You think that is more possible than a move to Penske?
As said staying with STR is getting more and more unlikely seems like.

Money issue, I've read something along the lines that sponsors in US welcomed him with open arms, but only if goes to US, which he said it wasnt an option a month or two ago, when he was trying to find money for another STR stint.

/I dunno the latest scoop on the cash part though.

Penske will almost certainly run Ryan Hunter Reay. He has been seen around the Penske shop. Wilson also has a shot at the seat, as he has been released from Newman Haas.

Interesting one that, cause don't half the people in Switzerland speak French? Although in fairness the Swiss could probably speak all the languages that the STR site provides! :)

On the Interlagos thing, I agree there doesn't need to be a change, BUT, if they got rid of the mickey mouse Esses before the new 180 corner in the 1st option, instead having the straight re-aligned to lead directly into the corner, it would become a mega turn, at the loss, admittedly, of a fine overtaking spot. Unfortunately, a high speed loop like that reached at 200mph+ would require a gravel-trap the size of Canada these days, though. ;)

Then Globo.com was lying. typical, never trust Globo.com ;)

Anyway, as Domenicali says in this post, it doesnt mean he gets #1 status. Just like Jense always had #1 status at Honda no matter what was his number.

I still stand that the ferrari prick will never be a world champion. Kimi can win it again though, as much as Ferrari wants to hide it, he's clearly their #1 driver at the start of the season ;)

Had Ferrari set Felipe as their #1 driver after round 12 or so he'd have won it. The one time they play fair they lose... I hope they keep it that way though, at least until closing rounds of the season. Far better for the sport!
Unfortunately I think it was someone from Globo or Teo Jose who started this, though when looking for foreign sources @ autosport/ motor und / f1 today etc... there was no mention of such, neither the usual press release from FIA at their site, so someone (maybe an usual trainee error)got it wrong from some place possibly.

No, he would have never won it. He wasnt supposed to, had Kimi won France without that frickin exhaust problem, he'd be their #1 driver until the end. And still is until he retires.

yes, the same 'play fair' thing happened for McLaren in 2007, with almost exactly the same result.

Pish Posh!

Kimi can't be #3, it should be Felipe. He finished higher than him in the championship
On the debut of the F60 Massa has #3 on his car.

yes, so it could change again.

i remember last year there was a similar debate over whether Lewis would be #22 or #23

then explain why Jense was 12 instead of 11 in 2006. Same argument.

Easy, Barrichello wanted number 11, because it was lucky to him, so Jenson let him have it.

yes, we've had this discussion before.

usually, the driver with the highest championship position the year before gets the lower number, but it is no rule. There are various examples of this not happening, most recently Force India and Toro Rosso in 2008.

WHO CARES?

It is a number.

People care about numbers. If you're higher up on a table, then supposedly it matters :)
