If my calculations are correct, up until the German GP Ralf had 53, JPM had 55. Not forgetting that Montoya had an engine failure at Austria whilst in the lead, which could have been another 10 points. So Ralf wasn't really quicker than him all year as you say.

Recent stories, both on F1-Live:

- Jean Todt will stay at Ferrari next year
- Norbert Haug said to the press that it's not 100% certain that Kimi will leave McLaren yet, and that he should stay and try and show that he is better than Alonso.

=============================================================================

This, IMO, gives us two conclusions which are almost 100% certain: Schumacher will stay at Ferrari next year, and Kimi won't be going to Ferrari, specially with talks that Massa will probably stay at Ferrari.

So, either Kimi is indeed going to Renault, or he'll stay at McLaren.

Showing that he is better than Alonso doesn't make him world champion. He want to be WC, so he'll have to move to either Ferrari or Renault. And IMO, Renault is the best option atm as Schumacher doesnt want a strong team mate and when Schumacher leaves, there is a big chance Jean Todt and co will leave too.

I agree as well. I think Kimi must go to Renault if he wants a real shot at winning the WC.
will see how things go this weekend as we dont know how the rule change on the front dampers will affect ferrari and renault.

I dont think so. McLaren has the resources, and now, that everything has stabilised after the departure of many technical personel, their car is improving much quicker that Renault. I think, it would be better for him to stay at the McLaren, then go to Renault, because McLaren develops faster, than Renault (look what is happening at the moment, McLaren is getting closer and closer, and Ferrari is already on pair with Renault). If I were Kimi, I would stay, not to mention, that Kimi has huge support from Haug and Whitmarsh (and Dennins too, but I think he isnt as popular at him, like he was a year ago, because of all that "transfers", but thing will change, if he decides to stay with McLaren).

Possibly. You also made a good point there. TBH, as a McLaren fan, I'd like Kimi to stay, but I dunno if that'd be good for his WC wishes. He would probably have the edge by staying over Alonso, since he's part of the team for a long time now.

Rb says this about ferrari and ms

Rubens Barrichello has painted a drab picture of life alongside Michael Schumacher at Ferrari.

The Brazilian, who after six years at the Italian team moved to Honda in 2006, sympathises with countryman Felipe Massa, who filled his seat.

“All I can say is that Felipe has a tough job,'' Barrichello was quoted as saying to Auto Bild.

'';(Massa) must help Michael to win the title in order to have any future at Ferrari.''

Rubens said there is a 'more relaxed' atmosphere at Honda, while in contrast the pressure 'was enormous' within the red-coloured team.

''Often I was told exactly what to say in interviews,'' he revealed. ''Sometimes I felt under too much pressure.''

Barrichello explained that he always had the same single seater equipment as Schumacher, but regularly 'could not do what I wanted'.

Yeah, that's why I hope Kimi won't touch Ferrari in the near future...
Kimi wouldnt accept a second drive.

he would laugh at Todt and Brawn when they say "Help Micheal"

Rubens was just a pussy ;) :P

Ruben's wasn't good enough to challenge MS & that is why he had to support him. Same with Massa.

Rubens was just a pussy

Was? Now that he is beating Jenson he is no longer a pussy hey? :P

Where he is beating jenson? Jenson got a podium finish this year, and Rubens? none.

So? Even with a podium Button still isn't able to get more points than Rubens.

Yeah, let me know when that starts to happen as it ain't yet. ;)
In The Daily Mail they had a heading in the sports pages printed "What happened to the heroes?" and they had a picture of Jenson Button. Under the picture they printed:

He says it's the car's fault he can't win. It's the track's fault. It was bad luck. It was an accident. The facts are that he is just not good enough.

Finally!!!! A British new paper that DOESN'T praise Button!! Halleluja!!

Who cares? Alonso isnt good enough to be a F1 hero too but claimed 2005 title with the best car of that season and is on his way to 2006 title with the same car ;)

It's on the website too. It is slighty different to what was printed in the paper though:

There is more non-achievement to come. On Sunday, Jenson Button makes his 109th attempt to win a Formula 1 race with no more hope than in the previous 108.

BTW I have nothing against JB. I am just posting these for people who might be interested in seeing them.
