Nice collection, andreigp4 !
I know how hard it is to get all the champions, especially when you want models with a driver figurirne. Have you ever thought of adding the original tabacco sponsorship to some of the (older) cars the make them even more accurate?
I have been collecting the WDC cars for some time now, but I am not sure if I continue with it. I won't pay 65 Euro for Hamiltion

Off-Topic Cars look much more real with the tabacco liveries. So nice conversions you made. Why don't they sell the black 72 Lotus in pink? That will look just as wrong as their model without the iconic JPS sponsorship.
The only downside for me is that the cars of this collection come without driver / helmets. I don't see the point of a World DRIVERS' Champion model without a driver in it.

Off-Topic Great to see that this good old website is still alive and kicking! Thanks to Stephan who founded this site an kept it online for so many years. I had the hounor and privilege to be part of the team from 2000 to 2003, way back in the times of the old original website and I am glad to see the ethusiasm and dedication of all the great people that run the website today.

Off-Topic Prices for new 1/43th models are now over 60 Euros. Besides, I am getting short of shelf space with 127 models. I think of quitting the hobby. Maybe Hamilton's 2005 WDC car was the last model I ever bought.

Off-Topic Meanwhile, another great offroad season is over and I can't wait for the 2015 races to start. The track has evolved, too. We now have more jumps and a new loop on natural soil. A new table top jump will be installed for this season.
Here is some 2014 race action with 6 nitro cars battleing it out:

Off-Topic RC Racing really rocks! I just hope the weather gets warmer soon.
Neil, you do not need that much mechanical skills to race these beasts these days. Most cars come "Ready to Run" these days and all mayor brands include illustrated manuals with their cars that make the basic work quite simple. I have grown into it quite easily.
If you have the choice go for a nitro powered model in

Off-Topic Sim Racing is still my hobby, although I am not that involved with it anymore. I am now more into R/C now and have built a garden track with some of my friends. Here is our website with some photos, videos and stuff: our RC garden track
Enjoy !
This is my favourite video with some laps of close racing in the dirt (on the first version of the track)
P.S.: Special Greetings to Stephan

Off-Topic Smoking is permitted in my flat, so the cases of my model car collection are got a brown film after the years.
I don't want to wash all my 150 boxes by hand - has anyone ever put a Minichamps or Quartzo display case in a dishwasher? Can I do it ?

Off-Topic Milano from Racedriver Grid, recreated for GTR2
===============================================
6 variants - 3 layouts plus 3 reverse layouts
Please note:
The original Milan tracks from "Grid" are not 100% accurate,
they have shortened some distances, left out some landmarks
and use many generic buildings. I couldn't really change that.
They're still nice tracks an

Other Games I tried my best to get the Mattel Ferrari F2007, Kimi Raikkonen, 1/43rd scale, half way decent. I got rid of the cunky antennas, repainted here and there, applied the decals, clearcoated the glossy tyres with matt paint, etc. But I am not at all satisfied with the results.
Even the hashmark decals bought at ToMo didn't help much. OK, they are ultra thin and stick very good to the model b

Off-Topic I just recieved my Raikonnen Ferrari F2007 in 1/43rd scale by Mattel from Hong Kong.
If I didn't collect World Champion models, I'd never bought it. It's so poor !
We all knew that it is delivered without correct Martini and Marlboro or hashmarks stickers and it's indeed in the old red colour, not the new metalic darker tone.
That's not what I am talking about. I

Off-Topic This series consists of RBA models which were published with a subscription in Italy and Germany Before. All these models can be bought on Ebay for very little money, i.e. 3 € or something.
The quality of these cars varies, but they never reach Minichamps.
The Lotus on the left is Lotus 72, WDC of 1970 (Rindt), the Brabham is the 1981 WDC car of Piquet.

Off-Topic Thank you very much for your answers. I think I'll stay with GTR then. If AI qaulifying behavior and lapping hasn't improved, i don't see a point in running GTR2 for my purposes.

Other Games I have a pretty enlarged GTR installation on my HD: lots of new cars (models), almost 100 tracks.
Now I am offered GTR2 for a cheap price.
My questions now:
Is GTR2 a big improvement over GTR ?
Will I get the same amount of add ons for GTR2 ?
Shall I switch from GTR to GTR2 altogether?
The only things that I find unsatisfactory in GTR are the poor ability of AI cars to lap each other an

Other Games This is the latest addition to my collection:
a Ligier JS11 (1979) in 1/43rd scale.
It's a rather simple produced model (to say the least) by RBA.
I completly changed the motor block, added a figurine, reworked the axes and applied some decals, etc. I liked to paint a darker blue also, but I was so frightened to mess it all up then.

GP3 F1 Tracks Thank you, strongbow and all others, for your help. I'll give it another try.
But I must say that I fear GP4 editing/ updating has taken a strange way. If I get into massive problems how can a newbie cope with all this? It seems impossible to updade without forum advice - and I think many race fans will rather try another game than spending much effort on GP4. It used to be better in &qu

Grand Prix 4 The most important game of all times, however, is DOOM (original doom 1)
Remember:
- it had the first3D engine that really earned the name (although it was technical still "2,5D"
- it was the first massive multiplayer title

Grand Prix 4 I am not exactly a newbie, as I used to install every single download grandprixgames.org offered for testing purposes when I used to work for this site's download section.
After a year of busy real life, I came back to GP4 and tried to insert some 2005 cars into the game. I have invested 3 hours so far and I think I am going to quit. Some questions keep running in my head:

Grand Prix 4 First of all: thank you for the warm welcome.
GP4 might have a future when - or better if - new tracks become available. I began to loose interest in the game when Bahrain was missing and the the old Hockenheim was redisgned. Many other tracks are massively modified in between, also. So there is not really a chance to have a decent 2005 season with GP4 today.
Let's face it: there i

Grand Prix 4 A view on GP4 in 2005:
(This maybe slightly off- topic)
It's been over a year now since I withdraw from GP4 and from working at this website. Strange how much - and how little - has changed.
Most of the editors I knew seem to have left the GP4 scene, except for the marvelous LO2k, SDI and Viper; also many familiar names from this forum are gone.
The great news however is that GP4 tra
