questions: GTR or GTR2 ?

I have a pretty enlarged GTR installation on my HD: lots of new cars (models), almost 100 tracks.
Now I am offered GTR2 for a cheap price.

My questions now:
Is GTR2 a big improvement over GTR ?
Will I get the same amount of add ons for GTR2 ?
Shall I switch from GTR to GTR2 altogether?

The only things that I find unsatisfactory in GTR are the poor ability of AI cars to lap each other and - most of all - their insane qaulifying behavior. Has any of that changed to the better ? Note: I am driving long distance single player games most of the time.

Graphically a massive step, physics, i think yes, some thing no.

Not yet, but theres alot.

GTR2 comes with everything that GTR had in the origional game (All cars and tracks) plus another full season of cars, tracks, and much more varied layouts.

AI, no. GT cars still struggle to lap NGT cars. Qualifying is fine now if you dont use acclerated time. As soon as you use that, they get too fast. Same during a race.

Same with rFactor too, that accelerate time.
Where would I be able to get mods for GTR 2 ? i cant really find any :S

Thank you very much for your answers. I think I'll stay with GTR then. If AI qaulifying behavior and lapping hasn't improved, i don't see a point in running GTR2 for my purposes.
