Hey guys, I've switched on the speed limit tweak on a CSM mod I'm using, and toggling it on and off works fine while in the pits but when I'm on track I can't turn it on or off. Any ideas on how to fix this?by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
Posting this here because I can't seem to register on grandprix2.de. Want to revisit a classic using some mods but I have an issue installing tracks. Any time I try to do so using Fragata's Track Manager it throws me an error saying that it couldn't read or extract anything from any of the zip files. So I thought I'd try and do it manually but the EXE that uncompresses theby RegularJohn - Other Games
That's okay, I'll stick with what I have. Thanks again for your help.by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
Yes, that's done the trick. I didn't actually know that would cause a conflict but now I'm able to swap out carshapes and textures now so thank you both very much! Only thing now I'd like to do is to adjust the textures so that they'll match the carshape of my choosing (having a 2007 model on a 2003 grid is quite jarring to say the least), is this easy enough to do? If noby RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
Certainly, they're three fictional ones taken from GP4DB;by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
Still the same result unfortunately, our cfgs are configured pretty similarly so I'm thinking it must be the way I've configured the files; there's something I'm missing but I'm not sure what. I'd figured I'd look at the 1994 mod to see how that works but I still haven't quite figured out how that works either.by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
Thanks, I'm able to swap out the cars with a few changes to the globalvars.ini and the ini in the cars directory but the new cars are still turning up white. I'm trying to figure out why this is, I believe I have the textures and the lod files in the right places and the hi-res textures are selected, in place and named accordingly so I'm not entirely sure what's causing it.by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
Hey guys! I'm doing a season with MSchumi24's excellent 2003 mod and I thought for fun I'd add a few teams to it. I want to run a sort of pre-qualifying session with the new teams/some of the slower teams but the issue I'm having is finding a way to swap out cars. Not an expert on messing with CSM files to be honest and I can't find many tutorials on how to do this. Iby RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
@SDI Cheers René, seems to have subsided now. Wouldn't have guessed that extending the replay time would fix it though!by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
Autosave and quicksave functions are fantastic, but I've ran into a problem while trying to load them. Thought it was strange that even the one I loaded before worked fine but doesn't work now (I'm under the assumption that the previous save gets renamed "autosave1" then cycles through them) Here's the log; As a note, the game loads the championship results ofby RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
I wasn't even sure I was meant to post anything, thought I was meant to wait for a PM or whatever.by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
Mucking about with the GPxSound feature for pit radio but there's no lines for yellow flags, blue flags or debris on the track. Is there any way to implement this? I've got sound files (from N64's F1 World Grand Prix) and it all works perfectly, just need to find a way for GPx to use the flag warnings and such.by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4

Yo, missed this little picnic, can I be signed up to the reserve list? Had quite a bit of fun with this previously.by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
Got it sorted, cheers lads.by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 3
Going through the '96 championship with Hummerich's carset, so had to download and rearrange the tracks myself which wouldn't be a problem only it's showing the incorrect number of laps. Round 4 is the Nurburgring, which is 67 laps, but it's showing 60 laps which is the length of Silverstone. I tried installing the magic data for all the tracks myself, but I realised thisby RegularJohn - Grand Prix 3
Definitely. This is wonderful, works with Windows 7 too; just needed to turn off a few mirror details and it runs pretty much flawlessly.by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 3
Spyker Shame about Lotterer, but at least we nicked a point. Decent stuff.by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
Woo! Back from the dead! Spyker Woo! Lotterer goes seventh!by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
Check "car power team dependent" under GPxSet in GPxPatch.by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
I'd personally be interested in going back to earlier than 2007 if we do indeed restart. Maybe late 90s/early 2000s?by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
Check your graphics settings, does it say anything about "dgvoodoo DirectX Wrapper"? Try recalibrating as well.by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 3
Just put the dll files in the main folder, and as long as your uncle's name is Bob and you have a decent PC you're all set. This seems to work for me too, but I get a tremendous slowdown whenever the cars leave the grid, otherwise a very good find which is very much appreciated Faustini!by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 3
I'm still interested. However, it's important realise that running this series properly, as I'd imagine, will require a massive amount of work, effort and free time. I'd personally be willing to put in the effort but I simply do not have the time to do so, between personal and social life, education, jobs, other hobbies, pursuing careers etc (that and I'm not smart enoughby RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
I decided to make a customised 2008 track calendar using older tracks (Buenos Aries, Paul Ricard, etc), newer tracks (Shanghai, Sepang, etc) and non F1-tracks (Laguna Seca, Dubai, Surfers Paradise). Problem is the latter two seem to experience what you might call a "major graphical malfunction" where half the trackside content appears missing and some weird glowing, shiny reflections apby RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
Spyker Two points; fandabydozy! I'm still not a fan of how off the pace Sutil is all the time. Might have to do something about it. Or rather, he might have to do something about it.by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
Spyker Nice to see Lotterer up in 7th again but I would really appreciate it if Sutil was up there with him.by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
Spyker Lotterer being cool and going quite quick indeed, Sato then proceeds to give that set up bonus the proverbial finger. Saddappy.by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
Good to see this is back up and standing strong again!by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
Midland Scored one point which is nice but I'm starting to fancy BMW's 3rd place a little bit now.by RegularJohn - Grand Prix 4
