Did anybody watch the Zolder race at the weekend? I watched the Sunday race on TV and it wasn´t that bad. Still looked quite amateurish. One thing they do have though, that is good is the graphic thingy to show the speed and revs and stuff of the cars when on the T cam. They managed to get the G-force meter on there too, which does look good. After all I didn´t think it was a bad race andby airefresco - Other Motorsports
Alonso - he´s had his moments of doing daft things, but for me is the best guy out there. I don´t think he´s arrogant at all. Although I would agree in English, he does come across that way, but in Spanish, to me, he seems a nice down to earth, realistic guy. At the minute I´m also liking Heidfeld, Massa, Kubica and in the last few months Vettel. I really didn´t rate Vettel at the start ofby airefresco - F1
I´ll give that a go, thanks.by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
How do you convert google sketcup to GP4?by airefresco - Grand Prix 4

Exactly. By the way, I´m not a Massa fan or anything. I just think credit is due.by airefresco - F1
Marco1 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > On Massa, Although he has had a better than normal > (for him) season, he should be booted from that > seat. He has been at ferrari for three years. I still don´t agree with you. Massa has improved every year. The first year as you say yes he did make mistakes, but he was a clear number two to Schumacher, sby airefresco - F1
I´ve been trying to find out how to do the exact same thing. Let me know if you figure it out.by airefresco - Off-Topic
I disagree about Massa. He has improved immensely over the season, did you not see qualifying? Granted Silverstone was awful as well as the first races, but other than that he´s been pretty much spot on. As for the race. Well, I really enjoyed this one. I wasn´t to excited about it when it was announced, but I must admit I was very wrong. Absolutley brilliant, I just hope that they don´by airefresco - F1
A nice track, thanks. However, there are a few annoying issues with it, like the wavey side lines through some of the corners and some of the ad boards and briges, textures are stretched, but these are easy enough for me to fix, so no problem there. Other than that and the missing pitcrew it´s certainly a good effort. Well done.by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Look at the 1995 mod or something and look how that is done. Look in the settings folder and you´ll quickly realize how it´s done. If you are still stuck then PM me with you are actually trying to do and i´ll talk you through it.by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
EDIT: Doesn´t matter nowby airefresco - Grand Prix 4
An try it on a similar (the same, if possible) setup to what you have. Anything sounds good on a top guitar and amp, well almost anything.by airefresco - Off-Topic
"Luck is one of the ingredients needed for a good driver. " Luck, speed and consistency. Oh balls too apparently. I´ll agree with you that it is very hard for Piquet this season, because the car is not brilliant, however, you can´t judge a whole season from 1 race. Look at the bigger picture and it doesn´t look good. I´m sure Fernando looses many a nights sleep knowing that Piquetby airefresco - F1
WTF does that mean? Piquet is in a better car for starters, then there is the lucky podium (which Piquet himself said was lucky), so basically have no point there. Anyway, don´t turn this into another Piquet thread, please.by airefresco - F1

it´s alright, i assumed you meant brake duct anyway.by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Fongu, I owe you one. Tried what you said today, and it works properly now. Thanks a million paul..by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
No I don´t mean that. What I mean is, I made some (Ok stole some) brake ducts of another car and imported them in to this car and put them in left_front_suspension and right_front_suspension. The thing is they are the wrong way round. I´ll post a picture so show what I mean.by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Just thought i´d check, but these are right, no?by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
2 ways. Either delete the physics file from the mode. Its in the data/patch folder for the mod. Or in GPxPatch un-tick the physics tab, in GPxSet.by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Ok I checked all those things, and they are correct, I think. One thing I did notice, and I don´t know if this is important, but the left brake duct is on the right suspension and vice-versa for the right duct.by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
I edited a car for personal use and I think I have frigged up the damage model. For example, if you crash into a wall or something with the old model, then the front wing would detach from the car. Now the whole car duplicates and detaches. What do I have to do to make the damage model work properly?by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
You need to convert the GPI files in Grand Prix 4\MenuData\PC\GP2001 folder. Convert them Tga using either Slimtex (which is part of ZAZtools) or GPIbrowser. Edit them to how you want them then convert them back. Remember that the alpha layer controls transparency. Black 100% transparent, white 100% visible.by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Lo2K, do I need to use an older version of 3dbuilder too, or can I still use GP4builder? Also, what have I done wrong with the flags? I did them the same as Mavericks guide. Thanks for your help so far.by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
I´ve made a little progress with the old DAT. I found that somehow the initial pit sector was corrupt or something, because it had no commands. If you tried to open it GP4builder brought up the error thingy. So I fixed that so it now has all the correct commands. The track still crashes if the CC-line is over 230 sectors, but it now crashes immediately when you click DRIVE, it doesn´t eveby airefresco - Grand Prix 4
OK thanks, strange isn´t it? I´ll start rebuilding then and hoping for the best.by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
Lo2k, did you manage to take a look at the DATs I posted? I am considering just making the whole DAT again, from scratch, and keeping it as close to the original as possible, with a few changes around sector 200-300. The thing is I don´t want to spend a lot of time on making a DAT, if it´s just going to have the same problem.by airefresco - Grand Prix 4
