no, I havn't found the T-cam for now...sorryby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Well, whether nobody is using Cameditor, whether I am not speaking a so good english and nobody understood my question Well, i will try to ask it a better way: Are some of you changing the car and wheels details ? If so i will let those parameters in the next release, else i will delete them as they are not really usefull. Hope i'd be clearer Thanks by advance.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
hi All, As i am near to release a new Cameditor version, i wished to ask to all users what they think about the details boxes. Do some of you use them ? For me, they are about useless because they don't seem to do much things in game and that we still don't really know what they exactly do. So I'm about do delete them to be able to bring a biggest 3D preview with, that time, a reby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
If my memory is ok, it should be a .tex file in the cockpit folder of the cars.wad i can't remember the exact name, else you can edit it directly in Carset Creator.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Thanks I hope i could do much more for GP4, but my skills are not as huge as my wishlistby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
hehe, it was nothing to do so i could make it quicklyby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Yep, arms can be seen in external views only (but you can put an external cam in the cockpit).by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Arrgg ! these silly uppercase !!! right page is here :by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Well, no need to edit registry finally, because I already released the new version with the manual path button Just go and give it a try here:by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
What do you mean ? Do you want that each team will use different textures for their tyres ? I can't do it for now.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Oh, and about rims, thats' the first thing i searched in GP4, but i never found it for now...i'm sure it is define as a color palette somewhere, use as a filter. They do the same with drivers arms (tex used for arm is white but in game, every driver as different arms colors).by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
For now, Tyreset only offer you the opportunity to choose the gp4 path if no gp4 key reg is found in the registry. But in your case and as i wrote in the gp4form (that everybody has surely readen , the last installation will be choose automatically by the app. So the simple way to make the app let you choose the path to gp4 is 1-wait for a new release with a button to do it 2- just go in your sby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Nope, he surely didn't use genius but he found something really interesting too : how change behavior of the car for a given surface of the track. Pretty usefull too.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Hmm, where do you found that ? And one word to clarify the situation with Car / Track editor... Jon is working on Sven's basis code and what Sven created is not a car editor or a track editor, it's a .GP4 file editor, that means that all 3D object could be seen (and maybe soon edit) with it. Yep, even helmet (i tryed yesterday . And as I am in clarifications, Deep Exploration is not tby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
hehe, nope, only a 3D personnal creation build around the original GP3 carshape recreated vertex by vertex in my favorite 3D program ( but who will believe it But Jon will surely show you soon what you are thinking aboutby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
ok, thanks, i would be pretty interesting to know what it happens for you.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Hmm, i not agree with you Peter, if you open a hi_carname.tex file, select the 256*256 and save it as carname.exe, you will not have a file using the same format as other carname.tex. Proof is that if you open you just create file, you will see it is still a 512*512 tex file and not a 256*256 like carname.tex files use. The correct way to do it is to open the hi-carname.tex file, select the 256*by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Well, i hadn't verify it, but i think your matter is that you focus on hi_carname textures and try to obtain 16bit with it. But i think that tex used by game for 16bit mode are carname.tex files and those for 32bit are hi_carname.tex files. So just try to replace the carname.tex files with your textures and make a try, it might be a good test Anyhow downsampling has no effect on colour depby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Here is the file And i agree with Go Alesi, car textures and track texture don't handle alpha channel the same manner. Car textures, as you said Peter use alpha channel as a reflection map (more white = more reflexions on the car). But track textures use alpha channel for transparency (more white = more opaque). But i have a question for you Peter, can you see the alpha channel in the cby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Lol, sorry Alesi i just forgot you I will make it today and will post it to you soonby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Hmm, sorry Jon but will not be the first : i have these code since a month But i hadn't start the work because those code is really huge and i would need weeks of free time working only on it to be able to build only a carshape preview. So we will see...maybe Paul is further than us, He is on the work since much time than us...by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
I discovered a nice thing some days ago about that: After you clicked on the "create wad" button and tells where is the unwadded folder, instead of input only the name of the wad you want to create, you can specify the path at the same time like c:\monza and then it will create a wad named monza.wad in the c: Very usefull, instead of searching where it has been created by GP4Master.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
With my texture, you can be sure you search to avoid path of the damage car as the flame throw seems hot and burning and you can even believe your car will be damage by fire too if you stay too close of it. Never forget: Nothing get closerby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
lol, are you crazy ? I remember Neil that opposite to the moon, my house isn't in cheese, you will have some troubles to try to rob my gforceby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Sorry but i havn't the file anymore so i would have to rebuild it. It's not really difficult, you just have to increase contrast of the alpha channel of the onesmoke.tex fileby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Yep, i did it some time ago with most of smokes (sand, black and white smoke). It is a little better than original ones. I can remember the black smoke was even a bit too thickby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Here are 2 screens of the same event but without the original flames. About Alesi's question : if you want big smoke, just use GP4 as it is as by default GP4 shows a big black smoke instead of fire and a vertical fire on the engine. About Dumbass' question: No i can't do flames near the engine blending to smoke with distance, GP4 only use one (2 in fact but for the same thing) teby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
