Well. I decided that the tool will make two logs, one with selected factors and one (very large) with all the factors. I've made this sheet to show you the available factors. The factor names are the same that what sent to me by René. The second column shows comments about the factors, most of them are from the documentation sent to me by René. The ones in italic were written by me. Thby RRRReméééédiooo - Grand Prix 3
@meanmc: are you making all your tests with GP3 2000 only? I've got my tool finally working in GP3 1.13, I don't know how much time it will take to convert it for GP3 2000. There's an interesting factor which can help you choose values for tyre wear and cc suffler (at least I think it will, considering your description of their effects). BTW...there 300 values in the GP3 car strby RRRReméééédiooo - Grand Prix 3
My point is that, reversed or not, when the effect is positive for top speed, it's negative for corner speed and vice versa. With this factor, the effect is positive or negative for both at the same time, unlike the aerodynamic effect of the air on a racing car. A reversed factor should be reversed for both, not just top speed.by RRRReméééédiooo - Grand Prix 3
meanmc Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > But - how to judge the value?? Why should i > increase/decrease the value? Yes, I suppose that's the important question. Are the effects consistent between players and ccs (having the same effect on both, including the same gains/losses of speed for both)? If they are not, this value will be useful to baby RRRReméééédiooo - Grand Prix 3
Extra thought: air resistance change depending on the track altitude. So, we have lower air resistance in Interlagos, the track with the higher altitude in F1. This value is low for original Interlagos magic data. That said, having lower air resistance decreases downforce efficiency (making the car faster in straights and slower in corners) but it also decreases engine efficiency, because thereby RRRReméééédiooo - Grand Prix 3

Hi! Mortal asked me to post this information here, so I suppose you guys have not found this stuff yet. Some years ago I've posted this thread in the GP3 forum and also this thread in the realgpx GPxPatch forum. Last week people got interested again we we started discussing it again. My old excel sheet is gone for good so I had to search the data again. It is about the propertieby RRRReméééédiooo - Grand Prix 4
Maybe this factor is not really "air resistance". In GP2, there is a factor called "acceleration" in the track .dat files. The same one also exists in GP3 tracks (at least in the Track Editor), but I suppose it becomes useless once you patch a .dat file with magic data. It's effect was very similar to this, but I've never noticed cornering speed changes. Anyway, theby RRRReméééédiooo - Grand Prix 3

So it's very different from GP2 after all...I wish we could look at the grip data like we can in GP2. Does anybody have a link for GP3Video? As far as I remember, it saves uncompressed data, so it would be possible to find the grip data inside saved race files.by RRRReméééédiooo - Grand Prix 3
You can't change the number of Warm Up with GPxSet, only the fuel laps loaded in the car. So I suppose 120 is the default number for this. At least, it's what I get with an unchanged GP3 with unchanged f1stage.sav.by RRRReméééédiooo - Grand Prix 3
One more thing about the Compound Editor: I think you shouldn't limit the max grip to 17000, at least for testing purposes. Higher values will surely work, probably with a limit before having the effect of negative numbers. And, of course, everyone should try a monsoon race with dry tyres, changing their monsoon grip to 17000. It was the the first idea I had when I found these valuesby RRRReméééédiooo - Grand Prix 3
BTW, nice work with the Compound Editor! It already deserves a version number higher than 0.0 I told Vins that I would make an editor, but there's no need anymore. I'll find my info about these values for GP32K and GP4 soon, so maybe you can make the editor work for those games too (strangely, the tables are simpler for GP32k and GP4).by RRRReméééédiooo - Grand Prix 3

Yes, you are completely right about the tyre type behaviors. I can't help about the "Help decide if a tyre needs change" md factor since there are several years since the last time I've messed with GP3 md. But I suppose it's related with wet/dry behavior, since dry compound is fixed for the race (and all ccs use the same compound, as far a I remember), or am I wrong?by RRRReméééédiooo - Grand Prix 3
Here is the offset table, values are decimal. The maximum wear that appears in the game is 256, assuming it is a only byte, this should be the maximum value available. Values lower that 24, the minimum wear appearing in the game will probably work alright. Grip values go from 8192 to 16838. From my GP2 experience, I believe you can use higher values if you want. I'm not sure about vaby RRRReméééédiooo - Grand Prix 3
As I said in the PM, I don't have it anymore. But I still have the relevant offsets for GP3 1.13, so it can be redone (and find the offsets for GP32k and GP4 should be easy).
