I think in the trackfiles itself. Use Trackeditor to do this.

If you mean the limited speed into the pit-lane, you can only edit the human one via GpxPatch. The CC is fixet at 80 km/h (50 Mph).
If you mean the approaching speed entering the pit-lane, there's a value in the MD file called "pre pit speed limit"; it affects both the CC cars and the human.

Hi all friends !!!!

I opened some tracks and searched about this information. ( Track Editor )

Item: Track Config - All CC CarSetup Data = xx DataElements find item 38 ( CC CarSetup Data 38 = 20480 - pre pit speed limit )

I found some values like: 30240 - 20480 - 15480 - 8384 - 8192

My question is: How much speed or time this values means and what is the value can I insert that represent a fast pit sotp or a slow one.

I will test these tracks where I found these values to see what happens.

I am awaiting a new information.

Tks

Yes, speed into pit-lane. But I didn't find nothing on GPxPatch! =/

not sure of it but my guess is that this is expressd in km/h like 20480 = 204,80 Km/h indeed i use higher values for fast entry and low ones for slow entry. It should be weighted on the speed in the area right before the entrance and the type of entrance (on a straight or right after a turn)

Sorry Rodrigo, not with GpxPatch, if i remember well there was an editor, or a tool, but i don't remember.
Anyway, it's only for you, so you don't have any limit the CCs have.
Bye

@evroic: if Roberto is right, it is easy: you test yoursdelf how much speed you can carry entering the pit lane, and then set the value.

Isn't it in the "Speed limiter on/off" flag of pit lanes in Track Editor ? (not sure at all, but I think I've seen something like that)

i think it only triggers where the limited area starts/ends. i remember there was something to edit the speed level, but can't remember what exactly.
i guess inside the exe or in the f1gstate there is some hex value for human and AI as well as the pit stop duration.

yup and i suggest to do a double test with also the AI cars becasue if the ai arrives too fast at the entrance it may drift a lot trying to move from the ccline to the pitlane, crashing into any wall around

Hi !!!

I have no time to test yet, but I found something about here:

Remove Pit Lane Speed

See:

You can try removing it in each track using Paul Hoad's Track Editor.

Find the pit section that has the "Pitlane Speed Limiter On" command, left-click on it to select it, right-click on it to open the pop-up menu and choose "Cut". Cut also the "Pitlane Speed Limiter Off" command to be sure. Then save the track. Be aware that if the track has any magic data, this will remove it so you will have to re-insert it. I have never tried removing these commands so I can't predict the results. Just be logical and back-up your track file first.

Try load gp3 in debug mode then (enable "debug mode" in main tab of gpxpatch).

There is more about this:

Speed Line Limiter

Pitlane Speed Limit

give your opinion....

Maybe I'm wrong, but I suppose that removing the Pitlane Speed Limiter from track files will result in ccs being unable to make pitstops.

If I remember correctly those flags are needed in the track, else CTDT.

Just tested it: it crashes to desktop.

And after reading some tutorials about it, if you remove those flags you wont have new tyres and refuelling (supposed not to CTDT)

Hi all !!!!

I appreciate the commitment of all but there remains a major doubt.

Someone has tested CC CarSetup Data 38 = 20480 - pre pit speed limit with these values ( 30240 - 20480 - 15480 - 8384 - 8192 ) ?

Will it be change the pitlane speed limit for the player and the AI ?

And how much these values represent in kilometres or time ( pit stop ) ?

I need to do this test..... there are many tracks with different values....

Tell us if someone finds out.

That value alter the speed of the CCs approaching the pit lane entry, not the speed limit into the pit lane, which is fixed to 50 Mph (80Kph) and is placed by the commands mentioned above (pitlane speed limiter on and off).

As it is said in the other threads, you can change it with GP3Master or GP3Edit, but :

- this means that it is hard coded somewhere in the GP3 exe and not in the track, thus difficult to tweak for each track separately;
- it seems to affect human drivers only, so not completely satisfying.
