Only £35 a year for a service that basically @#$%& on PSN is a rip-off?!

I believe so. Would be fine if that included free DLC for every game, instead of each game having paid DLC. And don't forget the US$100 for their wi-fi.

Well, if your smart you won't need that. Unless your in a situation (Such as a Dorm, Gui, you still at NIU?) where it would be needed, in which case, HA! But you'll need the same for a PS3 also, right?

XBL is interesting.... Though, with the PS3 games take HOURS to update, rather than seconds. I don't use any of the other features, but hey, Netflix is there if thats your type of thing. If you just plan on gaming it is a slight rip, but honestly, $60 a year? $5 a month for what you get isn't exactly a rip off.

DLC is a rip-off whatever. However Live has nothing to do with DLC so thats a useless argument.

When you divide it down, your only paying £3 a month!

Some find it acceptable and some don't, I'm the latter.

Smorr, I've been done with NIU for a bit but the PS3 has free wi-fi.

Is it built in? If it is it's extrodinarily weak (Well, compared to what else we were doing). We were getting the college's signal with a laptop, but not on the PS3, so we had to plug it into the router, which was close anyways, but still.

£3 a month to get shouted at by racist little 3 year olds. Sounds like a fantastic deal!

If The Last Guardian for PS3 is in any shape or form related to Shadow of the Colossus, I am buying the damn console.

Microsoft posted my console back to me today. Because of the weekend I'll get it next week I suspect. I'm quite interested to see if they fixed it, binned it, or did nothing at all.

Ok, now the list of friends with XBox 360s that haven't given issues is down to 0. My friend had it over the summer. My ex-roomate also got another RRoD in his replacement XBox 360, while this other good friend of mine has his 360 cut off suddenly, saying it can't read the disc, to insert it back.

Also, XBox 360 Elite is going down US$100 to match the PS3 at $299. The Pro version will gradually die so it will only be the Arcade at $199 and Elite at $299.

I hope it never happens to you though it will probably happen after your warranty expires. The Elite at that price is very tempting, it is the one unit which can be called reliable but I am not willing to pay for internet gaming and extra for downloadable content that should be free.

After the original warranty or 3 months past the extended 3-year RRoD warranty?

I will add in that my PS2 went kaput (We're talking about the original, I got it in the old GT3 bundle), well past warranty, and they still sent me a new one (Well, atleast refurb, it was a new slim one), so if MS were to do differently I'd tell em to send it back, sell it off, and never buy another one of their consoles.

Stop making me think like this Gui!
