you can buy the hashmark or tobacco decals for the F2007 from Toronto Motorsports: [www.tomotorsports.com]

they'll have both scales.

also, the Monza F248 with correct hash livery:

the China F248 with correct Marlboro livery:

and the 5-car Schumacher 1:43 set:

The Italian GP version looks so much better with the hash marks. For the small horizontal wing above the engine cover, they had to strip the white paint first right?

@ Karan, the wing on the engine cover was made of white plastic, so they've painted it red, not stripped white paint off it.

look here, the Brazil and Monza models in 1 auction on ebay: Click

Damn that is pretty pricey! Looking at the prices in other auctions you could buy both models individually for about 2/3rd that price.

doesn't look too bad, but it looks too young and his face has been feminised. but i suppose it was meant to just be a kids toy not an accurate depiction of his face.

the bronze statues are very nice but very expensive too:

[cgi.ebay.co.uk] and [cgi.ebay.co.uk]

the first one is the same as the actual lifesize one at Imola behind Tamburello, as i'm sure you'll know.

Shame that, when all the decalls are right, they used a pre-2005 schumacher helmet orso, since it was all red last years, and not with the black around his visors.

Btw, why aren't modelmakers alowed to make tobacco-versions of their models? They're only recreating the real ones, aren't they?

@ Sapo, these models are classed as toys, so they can't put tobacco adverts on them in case an 8 year old is given a model and then starts to smoke because he sees the tobacco logos on the cars, then he will get cancer and die.

and the same for the hashmark NT livery. they can't put that on the cars from the factory because even though they don't say "Marlboro", the white dashes still represent Marlboro, so they aren't allowed to put that on the models either, so we have to put them on after we buy the models.

and you're correct about the helmet being a bit wrong, here's the real helmet from China:

and the one on the China F248 model:

shame they got this wrong :( it needs some of the black around the visor to be replaced with red.

That's quite a poor mistake if I'm honest.

actually, once the visor is down on the real helmet, it does give a black apearance on the side bits near the eyeline, so the model is not too wrong. it does need some red under the visor above the white line on the model though, because the real visor doesn't go down far enough to touch the white line and hide the red:

it was a wet race so he had a clear visor, so that's why we can see more red around the visor in the above pic. on a normal day with a dark visor it would look more like the visor on the model, with more of a black appearance, but they should adjust these small details if they're gonna charge silly money for the model.

also i don't know why Minichamps don't put the proper visor colours on their models either, they would look awesome with say a mirror finish for some of Kimi's models.
