Yeah I never do anything like that to my models. If I f*ck it up it's £40 down the toilet.

Wouldn't it have been better to have half the car transparent so you can see the engine etc rather than a load of carbon fibre?

transparent + visible engine = hard work

an f1 car model fully in carbon fibre would look awesome if done properly, i don't think Mattel are the ones to make it work though. will have to wait for some "real" photos of that model to see if they've done a good job or not.

At GPL once more - RED LINE are going to make the following 1/43 for £69.99 though!!!

why are they so expensive?

Ferrari F2007 Kimi Raikkonen Australia 2007

Ferrari F2007 Felipe Massa Bahrain 2007

Because they know there is a lot of demand and they will be all sold anyway, so why not make a nice profit on it? :P

i've never heard of RedLine.

and there's a Mansell Williams in complete carbon fibre style: [www.grandprixlegends.com]

very pricey but the pics in the mini catalogue i've received from GPL look pretty awesome.

I don't know if anyone's interested, but I took a few pics of my Kimi MP4-21 and Hamilton showcar models together, so you can see the different liveries on the same shape: Pic1,Pic2,Pic3,Pic4,Pic5,Pic6,Pic7

I love the '97 F310B, i wish i had bought the Schumacher version i saw on sale years ago in a shop near me...

that Kimi model is sweeeet, particularly the figure. it knocks Mattel's crappy attempt out of the park! (the Mattel one came with the exact same figure as the MS model that came with his 52 Wins F2001, it looked fat and not like Kimi at all)

Love that Kimi model too! The figure looks great and absolutely love the touch with the steering wheel laying on the chassis.

don't let Ron hear you call it something so primitive as a "steering wheel".

it's a palm-supported-axis-mounted-trajectory-guidance-control device.

is the 20 by Mattel or Minichamps? and which 21 is that, the new one or old one? i'm guessing it's the Minichamps because i don't think the Mattel one has JW logos on it.

Nice models :) but why did you take them off their base? or did they not come on one.
