GPG Nations Cup: #39 Romania

Welcome everyone as we have crossed the border and find ourselves in Germany for the Hockenheim GP. Its round 5 and we are using the old layout of Hockenheim for our GP. The weather report is in and it shows that rain is expected but not till after qualifying has finished. With that being said lets head down to the track



First man out is Brilley for Wales who makes a mistake in the last corner



His time reflects the error



And Johnson duly beats it



The crowd cheers as Kederer comes in three tenths of Johnson's time



Vukcevic so very nearly sets the best time but will have to settle for second right now



Silva is off the pace for Portugal with his first run



Silvestre had a very quiet race in Zandvoort but starts qualifying brightly



Alpenstrom is again up there for Sweden



Kamikaze is a half second back in 6th



With that lets see the standings after the first runs







Kederer starts his second run and is close in the first sector



And holds the margin in the second sector



Which sees him improve to 4th on the grid



De Boer looking for a better qualifying this time moves into 8th



Vilela is off the pace at the moment



Brilley has a mistake free lap to bring himself into the battle



The field is incredibly close as Maverick is just 2 tenths off but 6th best



Antunis moves into 7th a half second back



Edvardson sets a decent time and will be wondering how he is that far down the field



Alpenstrom goes fastest! Sweden again in the mix for pole



De Boer goes a little quicker to move into 7th



Kederer improves again to 4th



Silva is still very much off the pace



Tafuro is under a second behind but 19th off the grid it couldnt be much closer



With ten minutes to go here are the standings and it is still anybodies qualifying







Kederer is the fastest man by a tenth in the first sector which has just the one corner.. impressive



Alpenstrom cannot react to it



Kederer slips up in the middle sector



Silvestre in the meantime shows its not just about these two men and moves onto the front row



Alpenstrom is slower than even Kederer in the middle sector



And Kederer pulls it out the bag in the final sector can Alpenstrom fight back



No he doesnt!



Maverick brings himself up into 7th



Standings with just over two minutes left







Edvardson manages to just beat the clock and has a chance of a lap



But he fails to improve on his time.

Congratulations to Kederer who has given the German fans plenty to cheer about today stealing pole from Alpenstrom who had another strong performance.

Rubbish

well... 6th is not quite what i hoped for with max boost, but then maybe that boost will give me overtaking chances, especially on the long straights... Thats what i need anyway!

Oh well, considering how much boost I used I had hoped for a bit more than 7th but at least it gives me a chance for finally some points.
