We are back for the final installment of the American Gp at Piranema
Its time for the second stops and its Girard who pits behind Silvestre hoping to leapfrog another in the pits
Alpenstrom is trying to give Antunis too tight a line at turn 1
But the Brazillian forces him wide for 6th place
Johnson is trying to pass Alpenstrom but he is a bit too far behind
Alpenstrom into the next braking zone though hits Antunis
And Johnson is hit by Vukcevic right behind
Both Alpenstrom and Johnson go off into a spin as Antunis and Vukcevic go past
Neither man loses any extra places as they rejoin circuit but it will hurt since Girard and Silvestre have pitted
Girard returns in 19th and does beat Silvestre in the pitstops great work by the French pit crew
Kederer pits right behind De Boer
Kamikaze and Antunis are in too
De Boer returns fifth
And Tafuro temporarily splits him and Kederer
Kamikaze is back in 9th
And Antunis currently 14th
After his pit stop Johnson is all the way back in 17th and is hurting from the collision
Jantsher pits from second
With Vukcevic also pitting
And Alpenstrom behind him after the incident
Tafuro pits this lap too and will be looking to be closer to Girard
Jantsher returns to circuit right in front of Kamikaze
Vukcevic keeps ahead of Antunis
But for Alpenstrom he is down to 12th and the spin clearly mattered
Tafuro is ahead of Johnson who suffered more than Alpenstrom
Maverick pits
And comfortably retains the lead
Another incident as Antunis looks for a gap that isnt there
Both men go into the air and Antunis straight into the barrier
He is our third retirement
Johnson goes past both for 10th, i am sure he couldnt help but smile after earlier
Vukcevic rejoins 19th but his chance of points is surely gone
Here are the standings now everyone has pitted
Maverick was cruising but has had an off.. still leads
The gap is only 5 seconds now
Nikolov has managed to get up to 12th and is hoping to get back into the points
Maverick has started to pull the gap out again and unless he makes another mistake is going to take this
The only people close enough to battle it out are De Boer and Kederer for second
Vukcevic passes Hunsley as he continues to fight on
Just 2 tenths the gap and Kederer is having a look but to no avail this time
Nikolov has caught Byrne and if he can pass him he just needs to chase down Johnson
Byrne isnt going to let him round easy though
But Nikolov makes contact towards the end of the lap..
Both men make it around
But it is only a matter of time and on the next lap Nikolov passes Byrne
Kamikaze has reached Kederer and De Boer and joined the battle for the other podium spots
Kederer senses some urgency and passes De Boer up the inside at turn 1
Nikolov has to get 4 seconds and an overtake in five laps, slim chance but a chance for the Bulgarian
Kamkiaze has a look on the next lap
But De Boer will not give up third place that easy
Jantsher has also caught up with De Boer looking to prey on a mistake by either man
Both men are taking cautious lines to not wanting to drop places
Kamikaze is right alongside De Boer here though
He dives up the inside to take third
No respite De Boer has to defend against Jantsher now
Nikolov has brought the gap down a little but isnt doing it quickly enough to get 10th
Maverick wins the American Gp. Securing the first points for Switzerland in this second season

FINALLY! And then the first points come directly with a win. Now it can go on like this!^^
Now seriously, I didn't dare to write something before this was over because with my bad luck lately I already feared the worst. But, luckily the big boost points paid off this time. Now the next aim is to drive into the points regularly to, at least, finish in the top 5 at the end of the season

damnit only 4th! Esspecially in a race were Sweden was at the back end of the top 10 for once!

Good result for the French team. Our man Jean Girard, once again put in a storming drive to bring home a great 6th place finish. But, our man Girard also wanted to ask " Why is Austria listed in 5th, some 29.7 seconds behind the leader, yet I am listed as being 26.7 seconds behind the leader, YET behind the Austrian car? How does that work....."
Girard was last seen storming towards the GPGNC stewards office to seek an explanation on the final standings!!!! ?????????????

To clear up the confusion those are the unofficial standings. So the places are right but the timings are wrong because as i wait for Edvardson to get past the line so everyone has technically finished i can give a screenie of the places. I am just just about to do the official standings since True has exams and so cannot give us the new look tables just yet. They will be to follow next round its just with how long it takes me to run the rounds although now i reinstalled gp4 completely it ran absolutely perfectly so what takes me 12 hrs to do both quali and the race took me half the time.
Truth is even then it takes me a while because my life is so busy i dont have time to do the series at all but i hope that towards the end of this one i can get someone to take on the Race Directing so that i can step down and you guys can get the fluid series that will keep it running. There will be an official announcement but i need someone to run the next round because of the sheer amount of coursework i have to do. Any final year uni students will know what i mean i bet

The performance deadline for Round 7 at Le Mans 'Petit Sarthe' in France is 18:00 GMT on the 29th January. Everyone is to send their performance request to the GPG-Nations-Cup account Please set the subject title of your message as "Round 7 - Le Mans - (Country Name)". In your message please state explicitly how much you allocate for Qualifying and how much you allocate for the Race (e.g. Qualifying: 500, Race: 500). If you submit one number, qualifying and race performance will be exactly half of that value.

Ps Let me know if my screenies are too big or small because on my monitor i cannot tell..

Unfortunately I'm totally stuck in work myself, which is why I haven't done a round for the NC or the GPGSL yet. If by all means, however, nobody else is able to do a round, I'll do it. But I should definitely be the last option.

I might be able to run it next week, as the boost deadline is till 29th, that is sunday - i might be able to cover it tuesday till thursday, can't be 100% sure yet
Also I would need to test it in the coming 3 days first, set up GP4 properly
