A good race overall for Arrows. Impressed with Wilson beating much more experienced team mate. Plus we are now beating over teams
McLaren sign rising star Vettel
McLaren today confirmed that they have succeeded in signing Sebastian Vettel for the 2005 season. After enduring a difficult start to 2004 McLaren were willing to dish out £10m in order to bring the young German into their ranks. Several other teams were also interested but none came close to the McLaren bid.

Mclaren Statement

Fernando Alonso will be back racing in place of Bjorn from Monaco onwards

A big step forward here for us, our first point of the season :-) A super race from both Kimi and Andre, unluckily Andre lost his concentration at the end of the race and made some mistakes. I hope we can go on like this in Monaco.

If John does resign then you can take the seat. However I do feel sorry for John as he's suffering from my, what have turned out to be, poor decisions last season :(

Ferrari

We are looking better now, however to have been defeating by that great drive of DaMatta in the Toyota was what no-one would have thought. However to have two cars on the podium and neither of the three be a Williams gives us hope for the further turn-out of the season. After the pole-position from Michael we are heading out with good fortune to the next race! We are going to win very soon!!

If you are racing, keep on racing and get some points!

Toyota Statement

We are absolutely delighted and shocked for cristiano to record ours and his first win in formula 1:-o...to hold his nerv in the closing laps from the mighty michael schumacher was hugely impressive!Big thanks to all the team for all there hard work finally paying off..what a great day for the team(Y)
Jaguar Statment

A good result there for Webber but we are disappointed with McNish who was quick early and through away the chance of points. We are also very happy to be punching far above our wait in 5th place in the constructors championship.

@ Twigster - On a side note, could you please post the team lineups and budgets left available next year. I would like to see what team has signed who so far. Thanks.

Do you understand what the point is of this game? The point is to run a team and get them at the top, now McLaren is in a difficult position, but that means you'll have to try again in 2005 by signing new promising drivers or investing more in speed. Not resign...

Yer, I find it more fun having the challenge of getting Jaguar to the top rather than winning every race.

Definition of rumor - A statement or opinion widely disseminated and alleged to be true though its veracity is unconfirmed

Your current budget and purchases have always been available in the signings thread. However I will add the current lineups as well :)

EDIT: All the current lineups are now also displayed clearly in the signings thread, just point out if I have made any obvious mistakes. Also from now on when bidding for drivers or after signing them, can you inform me of which position they will take in your team (driver 1, driver 2 or test driver) so I can update the list please :)

I've sent the perfs now Chris :)

Also I forgot to put it in the pm but if you are planning to do the next two races I just noticed that there is a pre-season test in the middle. Do you want to that as well or do you want me to as it doesn't take long and I will have to update the perfs with the results anyway.
