ARROWS STATEMENT

I'm a bit suprised that Salo didn't get a mention all weekend after he was promoted to a race seat.

Terrible race for us, it was a chance for us to take some points and we didn't do it, i'm very dissapointed.

Disappointing result for the French GP. Both drivers are ok and will race next round.

Jordan Statement

Awful luck for us. I'm not going to make an announcement to blame either driver as it's nothing more than a racing incident. We had the chance of minor points but I'm sure we can regroup. Also, we are happy that Satoshi has signed a new contract. This has been confirmed as a continued test role. He will also remain racing until Zsolt Baumgartner takes over duties at his home race at Hungary. Motoyama will also race the Japanese Grand Prix.

BAR Statement

It has been proven a good day for us, although we had reliability issues we secured Takuma Sato for the next season. He's a great driver and has a big potential, I hope we can give him a reliable car next year and it should be a huge confidence boost for the remainder of the season.

Ferrari Statement

Michael Schumacher is doing a great job and takes good control in the WDC, Rubens just had the bad luck turning on him again. A 1-2 finish would have been possible, but thats racing. It will not always go as you want it. But we saw McLaren dropping some important momentum and thats very valuable in the championship battles, we are looking to score full at every single race!

We are happy to welcome Jos Verstappen and Robert Doornbos to Ferrari, Robert Doornbos we see as a growing talent, we would like to give him some track time and see what we can make of him. Jos Verstappen has always been a good driver, yet never really got the chance after his sudden year at Benetton in 1994 next to Michael Schumacher. Contract negotiations are currently going for the first driver spot and possibly, a second test seat at Ferrari for 2004.

Sauber Statement

Well that was a thrilling race. It's a shame Nick (Heidfeld) went off as we could of been on for a double points finish. Nevertheless we are really happy to see Frentzen take 2 points from this Grand Prix. We have new parts coming for the next race so fingers crossed we can be even more competitive.

Just to let you all know what is happening. I'm away from the pc until Thursday now so racing will resume then. Hopefully get two or three races done over the weekend, however on Tuesday I move, so there won't be racing through that week again, might be able to do some the following weekend but it all depends on Internet connection and time

cheers

ROUND 11 - BRITISH GRAND PRIX - FRIDAY PRACTICE AND QUALIFYING

Welcome to Great Britain for the British Grand Prix. We come to you live from Silverstone in Northamptonshire for the results of friday practice and qualifying. The teams are rivitalised after a small break but Ferrari driver M Schumacher still stands proud at the top of the WDC with his team top of WCC. Could anyone upset the Italian outfit this weekend? Well let's have a look at those results

Friday Practice results

Setup Reward

1. Arrows +0.282
2. Toyota -0.058
3. Renault -0.128
4. BAR -0.176

So let's see if any of those teams could take advantage of their setup reward in qualifying...

And it's a surprise pole from Renault driver Jarno Trulli!
