Why not simply do it in this thread? Or is it that big that it's worth opening an own thread?

GPGSL : Team Owner of 'Maverick Track Performance' (MTP)
It is not worth opening its own thread it is just that i did not know wether this thread is still being used enough. It is just my issue relies on the perf. Sadly i have a vested interest in my case here but my point is this.

With how the perf is now structured i feel it is unfair upon those who enter the season after the start that it is harder to gain perf at the default staterwhen both teams and drivers accumalte points. I tie this to me because i became testers champion by a handsome margin and no disrespect to mynew teamate pederson but according to the system to work out your perf his isactually better than mine because i started five races from the end of the season prior. It is like having an annomalous result that will continue to drag down my perf and for me to get more competitive i wouldhave to dominate the race series to improve sufficently to be considered a top 5 driver if i won both testerthen race series. I hope i expressed my issue correctly i have not thought of a solution yet but i plan to try since it is not right to just tell people problems
Ben, I'll just give you a RL example as an answer. Think of Nico Hülkenberg. He showed in different other race series, that he can drive like hell. But when he entered F1 with Williams, Rubens Barrichello showed him in the first half of the season who the real master is.
You can't expect to come into a series and dominate it from the beginning on. The all-time perf is a good thing, I think, because it simulates a kind of experience which grows the longer you're in. And as long as a driver remains active, it's just fair that he has this 'experience' bonus which he earned for the time he's already into the series.

GPGSL : Team Owner of 'Maverick Track Performance' (MTP)
There is no solution Ben. All drivers must start with the base starter perf, regardless of when they start racing, be it at the start or at the middle of a season.
Drivers are rewarded by their 'all-time-perf' for their on-going participation. The majority of the participants have been in the series since Season 1, and many of them have yet to finish inside the top-ten, so it is not always the perf that rewards the driver, it is also the luck of the game. Not everyone can be a winner, although we'd all like to win the series. :-)
The GPGSL cannot possibly create additional perfs for drivers starting mid-season etc. just to give them an advantage.

Also, afaik the GPGSL has not yet made a decision on new season perf penalties for drivers that have been removed from the series for inactivity. That has to be looked at before the S6 perfs can be released.

I'm sorry Ben, but you must be working it out wrong because according to my calculations you will have a better perf than Michael.

BREAKING NEWS

MAC Racing have held a press conference just moments ago in Sydney
to announce a few things, heres what team principle Nathan McGregor
had to say.

"Firstly I would would just like to say that our brand new car the MR001
will be launched during the next week right here in Sydney for all our
Australian fans. But the big news that I am here to announce is that we
have secured our second test driver and completed our line up for season
6 of the GPGSL.

We feel this person will bring a huge amount to this team in there testing
roll by helping to develop the car through the early stages of its life. This
person is a proved performer on and off the track and it is a delight to
have them in the team. They are also in the tester seat to push the race
drivers to there best because they will be knowing that if there results are
not up to standard then they will come under a lot of pressure from their
new team mate.

So without any further ado I would like to announce that our second test
driver is non other than Keeley Grant. We know she has what it takes
and she will show that again this season. Thanks for coming out today
folks and I look forward to see you all at the team launch later in the week.

MAC Racing Season 6 Line-up

1. Chris Hinz
2. Jack Hunsley

TEST DRIVERS

Well the reason i brought this up is because using markos formula described in the rule amendment which if is wrong then i retract my argument but i will show you what i did.

s4=13.6/3 =5 (4.53)
s5=160/3 = 53 (53.33)

Then using those two results for an average for my first three seasons

s1,2,3 = 58/2 = 29

This combined score would be used in my ratio which = 145

I only used Pederson as an example because he started at the begining of the year i guessed from the starter perf.

s5=101/3 =34 (33.67)
which would count as his average and then he has a combined score of

=170

Obviously rounding affects these numbers a little so it may be closer and if i made a mistake ok. If i extend this to a 6th season just in my case and say scored what nick scored to win the drivers i would have 160/3 = 53 (53.33) and this would improve my average to 37 but i would have to have had a massive season and still be below the elite. You can also extend this the other way and say i am held up by an anomalous good year.

The only solution i had was rather than ratio start accumlate during but to ratio all the way through but with the ratio that is larger than the 50 ?

As for experience bonus that could be a benefit to all those who been in the series longer (since you do not get one currently) and had to slog in harder positions to us fresh faced guys who got a great test drive team? It would also encourage people to stay active ( if you failed the activity checks it affected your experience perf)

I just wanted to bring it up and the more i talk about this the less i really have a problem with it i just wanted to see if i was actually looking at something of concern that hindered all of those who joined part way through
averages arent part of the formula.
it 's a suggestion.

Sorry then Ben, I think I got you wrong with this. But it looks like the problem is sorted out.

And I also experienced that problem one time yesterday, though it's nothing that is really annoying.

/edit: Just saying it it happened again with this post.

It's only a small thing but for MAC Racing Keeley is number 1 tester and I am number 2 tester.
