GPGSL Season 5- S6 CALENDAR VOTE RESULTS

Posted by GPGSL
Jorge was a secondary author on that track, so I don't think it is worth risking using it.

Track voting announcement# 2!

Rules:
- You can vote for up to ten tracks
- You can vote only once
- Once you have voted, you can't change your votes
- Only additional votes will be counted. Example: if your first vote is 6 tracks and the day after you send another four tracks, the four additional votes will be counted.
- It has to be a finished GP4 track (not beta or known big bugs)
- This year, no seperate versions will be on the calendar (so no Imola 200x and Imola 1991 at the same time, only one Hockenheim will make it too f.e. ). You can vote for versions. All the version votes will add up. The total amount of votes will determine if the venue makes it onto the calendar. The amount of votes for each version decides which version will be run.
Example: After seeing all the votes, it has appeared that a track needs a total of 6 votes to make it onto the calendar.
Votes for Imola 1991: 4
Votes for Imola 200x: 5
Total votes for Imola: 9 -> Imola will be on the calendar. Since the 200x version has 5 votes and the 1991 version only four, the 200x will be granted access to the calendar. Even if both versions get over a million votes, only the one with the most votes will get on the calendar.
- When no version is specified, the vote will be counted as the 2008 version, or, if there is no 2008 version, the most recent before that one (so 2007, 2006, etc). So, when you want the 2009 version, you need to specify that!
- No need to vote for Melbourne or Silverstone: they already are on the calendar.
- You can't vote for ovals due to practical restrictions (aka cars crashing all over the place)
- You can't vote for tracks Singapore, Road America, Mugello, Kyalami, Dijon, Donnington etc. (if you do vote, it wont count)
-if two or more track share last available place (same amount of votes, a draw will determine which one makes it on calendar)

NOTE: Zandvoort is now back in contention given the assurannce of TurboLover" track fixing company". Incase it makes it on the calendar list, the track will have to be fixed prior to trackpack making, otherwise next track on the list will be in. If you have already voted, but wish to vote for Zandvoort, you can, but you will have to replace one track that you initially put on the list.

For clarity, please send your votes to the GPGSL account. Votes sent to any other account besides the GPGSL account will not be counted.

also to clarify, every partcipant in the league can vote
The deadline for track voting is Saturday 2nd April 8PM GMT - do not forget!

I allready sent my vote, can I have Assen changed to Zandvoort?

One of my immediate reactions for a not used track to bring in was cagliari, then i realised how impractical that would be ;)

Thermalito doesn't exist for GP4, pretty lame to vote for it.

There is an issue with Rolling Hills, I ran many tests on it, but when I ran a race there one car went off track and hot the wall without any damage. However the car couldn't drive away from the wall, it could drive along it very slowly but not steer away. The track would be fine as long as no car strayed near the wall, but it just isn't worth the risk.

Thinking back to Assen, I think there was a problem with pitlane entry in the wet.

Just a reminder all track votes must be sent to the GPGSL account for them to count. Posting your vote here will not count.

no.

My GPGSL Career
Hey guys, is it compulsory to vote? The thing is that I don't know exactly what tracks are available, and I don't want to vote for a track that doesn't even exist for GP4.

If I could, I'd vote for the Alemannenring (Wouldn't it be amazing?)

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
nope, voting is not compulsory :-)
