GPGSL Season 5- S6 CALENDAR VOTE RESULTS

Posted by GPGSL
Track voting starts today!

As of now you can vote for the tracks you want to have on next seasons calendar. A few rule changes have been made, so please read the rules below. Next years calendar will feature 17 races. Melbourne is fixed as the season opener, Silverstone is fixed as the season finale. So no need to vote for those two.

Rules:
- You can vote for up to ten tracks
- You can vote only once
- Once you have voted, you can't change your votes
- Only additional votes will be counted. Example: if your first vote is 6 tracks and the day after you send another four tracks, the four additional votes will be counted.
- It has to be a finished GP4 track (not beta or known big bugs)
- This year, no seperate versions will be on the calendar (so no Imola 200x and Imola 1991 at the same time, only one Hockenheim will make it too f.e. ). You can vote for versions. All the version votes will add up. The total amount of votes will determine if the venue makes it onto the calendar. The amount of votes for each version decides which version will be run.
Example: After seeing all the votes, it has appeared that a track needs a total of 6 votes to make it onto the calendar.
Votes for Imola 1991: 4
Votes for Imola 200x: 5
Total votes for Imola: 9 -> Imola will be on the calendar. Since the 200x version has 5 votes and the 1991 version only four, the 200x will be granted access to the calendar. Even if both versions get over a million votes, only the one with the most votes will get on the calendar.
- When no version is specified, the vote will be counted as the 2008 version, or, if there is no 2008 version, the most recent before that one (so 2007, 2006, etc). So, when you want the 2009 version, you need to specify that!
- No need to vote for Melbourne or Silverstone: they already are on the calendar.
- You can't vote for ovals due to practical restrictions (aka cars crashing all over the place)
- You can't vote for tracks Singapore, Road America, Mugello, Kyalami, Zandvoort, Donnington etc. (if you do vote, it wont count)
-if two or more track share last available place (same amount of votes, a draw will determine which one makes it on calendar)

For clarity, please send your votes to the GPGSL account. Votes sent to any other account besides the GPGSL account will not be counted.

also to clarify, every partcipant in the league can vote
The deadline for track voting is Saturday 2nd April 8PM GMT - do not forget!

just wondering, did zandvoort have any big bugs or why can't we vote for it? as it was made by mark and tony permission issues shouldn't be a problem

Will my Zandvoort track be allowed when the track is ready? About the fact that the modern Zandvoort can't be used due too many incidents during the race, imo it can be fixed by tweaking the cc-line and magic data.

Adelaide was also a notorious track, but due some cc-line tweaking by me the track was tamed. Adelaide was given a new chance, why not Zandvoort?

I sent my track votes to Marko, can Marko please send me back those 10 tracks (I didn't save the pm), so I can change my vote for Zandvoort and send it to the GPGSL account? :)

[Edit] Thanks!

Did you see the Champcar race in Assen in 2007 or 2008? Epic fail... :p

can you fix it prior to the trackpack making?
you did a great job with adelaide, but dont wanna have other requests and more of the calendar pending.
Perhaps just lowering ai errors could do the trick
iirc i personally didnt have that much of a prob with it.
there are other probs
in rolling hills car goes wide and then drives slowly for 30 seconds or so
classic hockenheim queues up 2 drivers from same team in pits.
monza once had qualy bug(one car) , but seems to be okay in past seasons.
assen is a beta ? was there any prob with it this season? Stu?

Assen didn't cause any problems that I can remember, I've been to bed quite a few times since I then! ;)

I think there were claims that the Assen track we used in S5 looked like a beta/demo version. Would go look, but my bed is calling me ;)

Sepang and Interlagos!! =D

One Racing driver and team manager
GPGSL-3: champion in 2007/2013/2014!
GPGSL-4: testdrivers champion in Season 11!
Can I please encourage everyone to try and get
some different tracks in the series rather than
the same old boring ones we use every year.

For example, tracks like the
A1-Ring - Austria,
Q-Ring - Fictional,
Laguna Seca - United States,
Lausitzring - Germany,
Mugello - Ferrari Test Track,
all produce really good racing and provide our
championship with a difference from all the others.

Just something for you all to think about.

I can fix it prior to the trackpack making, but first there should be an official statement that people can vote for Zandvoort. Otherwise it would be a waste of my precious time. ;-)
