Ladies and Gentlemen, the race has been run and WON!
A little tease. The WDC is on the podium, and a team has both drivers on the podium. There were two DNF's. One accident and one oil leak.
The RD is also pleased to report that his console did not catch fire during the coverage of the event.
I'm now going to duck across the paddock and supervise the coverage from the GPGTV broadcast van. Stay tuned to GPGTV-FARKED for the race.

Marko Aleksander is on pole here today, can he hold off Ed Greenhalgh as he makes a dash for the first corner? Let's find out, the lights are about to go out, it's GO GO GO at Albert Park!

Ed Greenhalgh gets away brilliantly and dives into turn one in the lead, effectively shutting the door on Marko Aleksander!
The fans are on their feet and cheering wildly as the cars scream through turn one.
Ed Greenhalgh has already opened up a gap as he sprints away in the lead. John Warrington is already applying the heat to Marko Aleksander, he'll be looking for a passing opportunity very soon.
The first 'fastest lap' of the race. Team Shadow will be hard to beat here today I think. Looks like they have a good setup today. All that testing over the break might just be paying off.
Marko Aleksander has been passed by John Warrington, and it looks like Marko is already under pressure from the current WDC Phillip Oakley.

Ric made an extra pit stop for a new front wing after colliding with Nick van der Voort. The collision put Nick out of the race. Nick crossed the track in front of Rico, the collision was unavoidable.
