Looking forward to the finished results. Thanks for putting in the effort for this circuit! :)

I live in Adelaide and I love the Adelaide circuit. It has never been correctly rendered in any racing game except for the f1c track that I found and I wanted everyone to enjoy the Adelaide circuit as much as I do.

Can you actually tell where the race track used to be? I heard they did have V8 Supercar events there till about 2003, is that right? :)

The Clipsal 500 is held on a shorter version of the track. It has been held there since 1999 and there are plans to use the old track next year. The old Adelaide track has only been used once since 1995 for some Le Mans style race in 2000.

this is great, its more fun then the one converted from trd. only problem computer cars are so slow, but i only tested using 2005 cars. also i noticed there are 2 .dat files, one is 98kb, the other 101kb. whats the difference?
Thanks!

Thanks!

I'll try it!
Oops, double post! How silly of my internet connection :-(

Thanks super_alonso. Will give it a try later and report back. :) Is it traditionally low downforce for Adelaide?

EDIT: OK, tried this in the 1991 mod, since I haven't installed the 1995 mod, nor do I intend to in the short term. It's driveable. I question the inside kerb at the right at Flinders Street - it's rather big for an inside kerb, and 3 corners after it the same thing appears again. I'll post a screenie later on in case that's not clear. :)

The smaller one was a backup that i forgot to remove from the folder. It doesn't work with the wad file. The CC line is not very good. IT was just a quick job to make the track raceable. The trd conversion is crap because the track has no gradients and it is way too wide.

I was trying something with the kerbs and it didn't work. The downforce level is a compromise between straight line speed and grip.

P.S I am working on a secret track update which will make the track feel even more realistic.

I can't seem to download it, do I need to be registered to do it?..
It's a lot better now!
Maybe needs a bit more elevation on the Jones Straight, but it's not that big a deal. I'm working on some trackside cams now, I'll message you when they're done. :)

Turkey, the kerbs in Adelaide were generally killers so it's all accurate it seems ;). Try medium-high wings
