I've managed to move the finish line and modify the pit lane exit. Problem is that I can't make it like the Adelaide track converted from TRC because it is 700m to long. The short track is 3.22km, not 3.85km.

I've been working on Adelaide and there have been some problems with the pit lane and fences:

1. The fences circled in the background have fences while the ones in the foreground have none. Why??

2. IMPORTANT PROBLEM. There is an invisible wall at the red line. IT makes the track implayable even though it does load in GP4 (no flags). It is the sector where the pit lane fences end and there is a fence gate. How can I fix this???

I found what was causing the problem. It was a pit lane height change that was too steep. I have been working on the pit lane as the bank etc were way too wide. I also have changed the pit exit layout. Brewery Bend also needs some drastic work.

Two requests:

1. I need some pictures of Brewery Bend to see the track width, walls, kerbs, trees etc.

2. I don't know how to use ZModeler so could someone make the electronic timing screens that were seen on the bridges (next to the trees on the left)??

Isn't that where Mika had his accident? If so I have a very short onboard clip of his shunt that might be useful...

I've got full races of 1989,1993,1995 and highlights from 1987,88,90 and 91 plus a lot of various onboards. And yes it is where Mika crashed.

Well there are a lot of changes that are needed to get the track as close as possible to the real one. There need to be new grandstands, adverts and buildings added. Also the track width, banks etc have to be modified. I am also adding pit bays and other pit items to make it more real.

One question:

How do I make the pit lane tarmac different to the track?? I have seen it in the AMS and Shortwood Park tracks.

Update:

I found a track for f1c that has an accurate chicane. Therefore I am working on a hige update from the first chicane through to Brewery Bend (Hakkinen's crash). This will involve a complete change to track width, banks, verges, walls, heights and run-offs. Based on 1995 stats, the first chicane was a fourth-gear 120mph corner, not a flat in sixth 170mph sweep as in the original version. I will probably need help from trackmakers in makeing the track smooth.

Sounds great. The more accuracy the better!

Awesome! Accuracy is the key. Better to have it perfect, than rushed and inaccurate. :)

What about that horrific bump just past the start finish in the old version? I hope that has been corrected because it was a pain before. If you ran over it at full speed it was impossible to get the chicane just right...

It was caused by a mixture of two things:

Pit lane exit.

Unusual change in track width.

It's still there but not as big. I have got the chicane to work and with 1995 physics and my 10 minute CC-Line job, I have added 3-4 seconds to my lap times of the original track. The chicane at the moment is about 90mph in third gear and can't be taken flat no matter how the CC-Line, track grip or car setup is set.
