i think it has something to do with pausing, and watching replays while cars are pitting (possibly)

@Ruboy,

I tried your recommendation, increased and increased the grip, but the cars continue to crash or stuck at the right pit wall, all the cars tried to enter through the wall and stay there and other cars come and crash them, is one after other, so, the route cause is not the grip, is something else that I don't know how to correct.
And I saw a post from Vesuvius with same problem when running a championship. But, I also tried in a non-championship race and the problem is the same, the cars can not enter the pits, they go directly to the wall, it's a blue portion in the righ fence that seems to be in the middle of cc line to access the pits.

Adding some more pitlane sectors at the beginning of the pitlane will maybe solve the problem.

@Turbo Lover,

Where is the place to add pitlane sectors? I saw this in my instanbul.md3, is it? If yes, what number I have to put?
60 ; sectors to pit in 1
7 ; sectors to pit in 2
20480 ; pre pit speed limit

So far what are in the bugs list for istambul apart from the pit garages and pit stops problem? Could we put in the first page these issues and the workarounds encountered?

@ Turbo Lover,

I made a comparison with other md3 files, and, it seems to me that, for istanbul, must be the opposite, as an example, sectors for pits 1 & 2 for Monaco (also very difficult to access) are 3 and 4.
The sectors in this istanbul file is more like interlagos which have a long pit entrance. Also the pre pit speed limit is too high in istanbul (Interlagos again?), in Monaco, this number is aroung 6000.

With adding extra pitlane sectors to the pitlane i was meaning in 3DEditor, not in a md3 file. ;-)

I've listed up the bugs which ALL people will encounter when playing.
The bugs mentioned on the last pages only appear for some peolpe but not for all.

For example, I have no problem with the cars pitting in - they go into the pits smoothly and quickly but without crashing.
Try to decrease the pre pit speed limit to slow the cars down.
Adding more pitlane sectors is not good because the entracne won't be smooth anymore. And building the oitlane from the right to the left side of the track didn't help either because it caused jittering in the pitlane.

I got a problem as regard to the pit boxes. When i play at Michael Schumacher his pitbox is Mclaren but Felippe Massa is with the Ferrari pit box ok. Smae with some other teams like Williams and Toyota. I can get a screenshot if needs be. Any reason why this maybe happening?. Just seem some cars are not in their correct pitboxes.

Oh i'm using ZAZ TSM to do my track profile and using the 2006 texture update.

Any advice would be cool

I have noticed the normal pit lane speed reductionas you enter the pits occurs just as you enter the final chicane. Interesting as i have just completed a qualifying run and all the AI cars crashed in to the back or each other at the pit entrance.

Also anyone worked out a good setup, please share. I got to say the track is awesome and just like the real track turn 8 is hard.

OK, I didn't know because I never work with 3DEditor, but Ruboy mentioned that this is not a good solution.

OK, decrease the pre pit speed limit, this is one of my comments when I compared Monaco and Istanbul md3 files, as these two tracks have some similarity in the difficulty to enter the pits due to the sharp corners before the pit entrance and the necessity of low speed.

But, what about the sectors to pit 1&2, you didn't comment, the numbers are too high also, as it's the same as Interlagos, but Interlagos have a long entrance to pits, I think this is the reason of the problem I had in the end of the straight before the left turn, if you are in the middle of the track the car jump to the left and stay as it is in the entrance of pit lane, without a good control, and you can not make the following right turn correctly, even driving slowly, the car goes to the grass before turn to the pit entrance.

Anyway, tonight, I will change these numbers, sectors to pit 1 & 2, as well as the pre pit speed limit, using numbers similar to Monaco, and I'll do an evaluation, if it works fine, I'll post the results here to help other guys with same problem.

If these are the numbers that control the pit entrance and I found the correction, I think this is the same problem at Sakhir, which also have a problem of cars spinning before enter the pits, because it was made based on A1ring, that have a long pit entrance too.

Something to think about to make new tracks, pit entrance calibration in the magicfiles.

I have changed the values to 1 and 0 for the release version !

If you set higher numbers for 'sectors to pit 1' the car will be controlled much eralier and you won't get smooth through the right corner or even the left hairpin before.
You can set this values to 2 or 3, I assume 4 is already too high.

Bahrain is a very early beta version and the problem with pit entrance is well known. Of course the final version will have it fixed.
