Yes, it'll be interesting to see what we can do with the adjusted performance. Hopefully we will still be competative

Do we get a christmas race this year?:O

I don't see much of a point at running one when we have the Malaysian GP ;-)

But a New Year one would be great, especially on a snowy track ;)

My GPGSL Career
Looking forward to Sepang, hope the team keeps up this form.
I was thinking that maybe we should have given Sepang a 75% rain chance, since many of the races there in real life have been soaking wet ;-)

Oh, the possibilities... So many possibilities! ;)

I think we should rise against these bad bosses ;)

My GPGSL Career
Somebody asked me why I was disappointed with some of the comments made here. I will admit, I have felt so down, I have even considered leaving the series. Although there have been a lot of these kind of posts, there have been a few people who have been fair in their comments and I thank you for that. However, I'm afraid to say, they have been in a minority.

I have always tried to help run this series in the fairest way possible, so it has been a surprise, to me, to see so many suggestions that appear to be an attempt to take advantage of AMR's discrepancy in the perfs. The most unfair suggestion made was to leave it as it is and continue, because it would be justice for AMR inheriting another team's perf, for which we should be penalised. This is a totally seperate issue, which was allowed under the rules at the time and has no bearing on this subject. I would also argue that had Velox not left and continued in the series with the same results as AMR have since achieved, would the same suggestion have been made? I find it so disappointing whenever this argument is raised.

Another idea was to give AMR +4bhp extra for one race, no more than that because the poster didn't want AMR to have too big an advantage. I'm sorry, but haven't we just effectively run two races with a -10 bhp penalty? (The amount of extra BHP AMR would have received if we had the same error applied to our engine perf) How does this give us an advantage?

I think there has been a misconception made with my solution in the GPGSL Announcement. It seems many people think that half the advantage each team has had will be removed from their team's inflated perf for Sepang and the other half removed at Suzuka. I'm afraid that is not what I proposed. Their perfs would be returned to their error free level and then the advantage would be subtracted in repayment. Because I had not discovered the error, SCR ran 11 bhp extra over the two races. My solution would be to remove half their advantage in Sepang from their error free bhp (791), that being 6 bhp, making their engine bhp 785 for the Malaysian GP. SCR's bhp for Suzuka would then be 791 - 5 + their Sepang bhp scored. Their engine bhp would then return to normal for Montreal.

The only other option and to be honest easiest to carry out, would be for all teams to continue at the error free level and give AMR the extra bhp we would have scored had we had the same error applied to our perf, 10 bhp. This would then be split over two races (2x5bhp) because the other teams advantage was also split over two races.

Giving AMR the extra 10 points in team boost (or 4, as suggested!), would have an extra penalty in that our reliabilty range would go up in the races we applied these extra boosts. So again unfair.

My initial reaction to some of the comments made was to ask this simple question. If it had happened to their team would they not be fighting for equality? So why are some of you seemingly trying to deny AMR that same equality?

If I have got the wrong impression from anyone at all, then I apologise.

In response to the whole...fiasco, if you will: Stu, do whatever you feel is right.

I don't know why we don't just put the perfs back to the beginning again but give AMR a little...extra for the next couple of races. Then we go back to how we were.

I don't care if any of that hamstrings me in the races; I just want this series to get going again. :)

And my explanation towards this is, I plain forgot that the Bonus-BHP include a higher reliability-number. Of course sorry for this, and yupp, I'd be happy with the real numbers, saying 10BHP + for AMR to use however they wish. Also they aren't included into the normal perf rule, meaning they don't up the reliability-number. Perfs are resetted to season-beginning-values.
So the same as Jake said. Apologies once again, I have forgot the reliability-probs getting up with more team-boost.

I like Sepang a lot. So I hope I can score a decent result for me and Snake. :-)

First podium: S8 Australian GP - 3rd at Testers sprint race
GPGSL is an exceptionally well organised and run series, so any of this bickering needs to stop.
I dare say most people would happily see all perf ratings revert back to where they should be, and we just get on with things.
As for the AMR boost issue, if they have missed out on 10 bhp or boosts earlier this season, why not just apply +1bhp for the next 10 races or whatever it may be, simply re-applying what they missed out on. AMR can then still use their season allocated boosts on top of this "payback" 10....

We all know the story of AMR taking over a team, and inheriting their perf ratings. That is old news, and those were the rules at the time. We all need to get over it, and move on....

Lets just get racing again....

Think i might get myself an Audi R8 for $150,000 and pocket the rest for a very merry christmas ;)
That is unless you meant $250 boss ;)

I really hope that, our performance was as best as in Singapore
I agree with the comment that was made about how Sepang should be made to have a 75% chance of rain. After all, how many times has the Malaysian GP been a wet race in real F1?
