I think there has been a misconception made with my solution in the GPGSL Announcement. It seems many people think that half the advantage each team has had will be removed from their team's inflated perf for Sepang and the other half removed at Suzuka. I'm afraid that is not what I proposed. Their perfs would be returned to their error free level and then the advantage would be subtracted in repayment. Because I had not discovered the error, SCR ran 11 bhp extra over the two races. My solution would be to remove half their advantage in Sepang from their error free bhp (791), that being 6 bhp, making their engine bhp 785 for the Malaysian GP. SCR's bhp for Suzuka would then be 791 - 5 + their Sepang bhp scored. Their engine bhp would then return to normal for Montreal.

The only other option and to be honest easiest to carry out, would be for all teams to continue at the error free level and give AMR the extra bhp we would have scored had we had the same error applied to our perf, 10 bhp. This would then be split over two races (2x5bhp) because the other teams advantage was also split over two races.

That makes it clearer now for me, I too got it wrong at first. I'd prefer option two.

I must apologize, I think I am the one who first said 'no advantage for AMR' but it was with a smiley to say I was kidding. Bad joke I know, and other people surely misunderstood it. I never meant to be unfair with AMR and I'm very sorry for that big bad ugly troll.

In the other hand, and like many other people, I didn't clearly understood your proposal, Stu, and that gave that big mess. Sorry again.

I think that what should be done now is to give back all the teams to their correct perf values for the next race and, in addition, give to AMR for the next race the correct points they gained for the first race, and the ones they gained for the last race, and for the following race give them the correct points they gained on the second race. (so points for races 1 and 3 added to race 4 and points gained on races 2 and 4 added on race 5).

If I'm correct I think this could be the best way to get back to normal.

Just downloaded the new mods...

Re the Sepang event, i had previously informed Stoopid I would run a feature race at Sepang for the Testers'. As this doesn't appear to have been conveyed to the GPGSL competitors, possibly having affect on boost applications, i will just run a standard test session, unless advised otherwise in the next hour or so...

Time permitting (9 month old boy permitting....) i will run the session here today, and hope to either get it all posted this afternoon, or by 26/12. But with Christmas dinners tonight and tomorrow, time is a factor right at the moment, for lots of us, I am sure!!!
