As Charrel has said 6th and 9th is decent but not really right where we want to be.

Our aim for this season is still to defend 3rd overall, regardless of the troubles that have afflicted Team Shadow so far.

GPGSL Season 8 Malaysian GP - Sepang - Race Part 1

(Track by SchueyFan, Ruboy, Gildoorf, Prblanco, Ricardo Lampert, TTM, MarioB, b-tone and several others)

Welcome back everybody here at Sepang for the race to the 4th round of Season 8. In yesterdays qualifying session Joseph Gilson took the second pole of
his career in only his fourth race. The weather forecasts say that there might be rain in about half an hour, but at the moment the track is dry.

The cars are comming back from the formation lap now, so lets go to the track and hope for an exciting race

All red lights are on

And here they go! Gilson keeps the lead

But it looks like Spencer may have a chance in turn 1

Edwards has passed Rodríguez, and Spencer goes for the lead

And he takes it!

And Edwards passes Gilson on the outside and is now in second

At the back Kederer has already gained 5 positions

Going into turn 4, and Gilson has to defend against Rodríguez

They almost made contact!

Gilson can stay ahead

And Maverick now sits right behind Rodríguez

Somogyi has run wide!

No damage to the car, but he's in last now

Spencer now tries to pull away from Edwards

No improvement for Jalving so far

Scala has passed Pedersen at the start and is now behind Greenhalgh

Maverick defends against Hunsley

And runs a bit wide at the exit of the last corner!

Hunsley takes that chance immediately and gets past

Hinz too overtakes Maverick, and Legge is already besides him

Now even Jalving has passed him, Maverick will be very angry about this mistake

From 5th to 9th in only a few meters

Hinz locks up his brakes

and takes an excursion into the gravel. He drops back to 22nd

Unseen by the cameras Scala has passed Greenhalgh

Spencer and Edwards now start to pull away from the rest of the field

Nice move by Greidanus, he's now in 9th

We're now riding onboard with him, and oh, there's smoke coming out of one of the cars in front of him!

It's Gilson! His engine is on fire!

That's an early end of his race

Kederer meanwhile up in 15th

The gap between 1st and 2nd stays the same

A nice train of cars, with Trulli, erm Pedersen at the top

Cartwright now attacks him, and behind them Elleker tries to pass Kederer

Cartwright has passed him, but I can't see Kederer anymore

There he is, he has spun into turn 1 and is now 20 seconds behind Hinz in last place

Rodríguez locks up his brakes

And has to defend hard against Hunsley now

They're going into turn 1 side by side

And Hunsley has the better line and gets past

Legge under pressure by Greidanus

Somogyi now in 19th thanks to the mistakes by the two german drivers

Another one late on the brakes, this time it's Elleker

Steer immediately uses this advantage

Warrington now with the same mistake as Maverick some laps earlier

He loses two positions to Somogyi and Hinz

Time to earn some money now, we make our first commercial break, but we'll be back soon. Stay tuned!

GPGSL Season 8 Malaysian GP - Sepang - Race Part 2

(Track by SchueyFan, Ruboy, Gildoorf, Prblanco, Ricardo Lampert, TTM, MarioB, b-tone and several others)

Here we are again, and no changes at the top of the field

Van Renselaar has shown a great race so far, he has gained 8 places and now attacks Horváth for 9th

Warrington with an early stop, but this one wasn't planned, he had problems with his brakes

Hunsley can't really pull away from Rodríguez

Who is put under pressure from Hunsley's teammate Jalving

Scala shows a good pace today

Greenhalgh doesn't, he had been passed by Cartwright and now tries to get back his position

Without success

Spencer still leading

Hunsley now the first one to come in for his stop

Steer goes on a trip into the countryside

and drops back to 19th

Santilal too comes in for his stop

Van Renselaar also in the pits

Spencer in the lead, and it looks like Edwards is getting closer

Maverick on the way to the pits

Followed by Hinz

Back out in 16th

Edwards now pretty close to Spencer

And he comes in a few seconds later

As do Jalving, Greidanus and Cartwright

Jalving rejoins just ahead of Maverick

The next stoppers are Rodríguez and Pedersen

Steer now in 9th, but he is yet to stop

Rodríguez gets out in front of Jalving

Kederer in front of the two MACs, but he still has to stop

Legge now in for a fresh set of tyres

He is joined by Scala

and Elleker

and Kederer

One lap later, and now the leader comes in

followed by Horváth and Greenhalgh

The TV-graphics present us Edwards as leader, but where exactly is Spencer?

In second, he has lost the lead!

And look at this gap, Edwards has pulled out some stunning laps on the fresh tyres

Steer is holding up Rodríguez

This allows the two MPRs to close up

Jalving now attacks his teammate for 5th

He's on the inside, while we see Steer heading in the pits

The new leader

Scala now with the fastest lap

At the back we can see Legge right behind Maverick

9 laps to go for Edwards to take his first win

He's 2 seconds ahead of Spencer

We take our final break now, and will be back soon with the final laps!

GPGSL Season 8 Malaysian GP - Sepang - Race Part 3

(Track by SchueyFan, Ruboy, Gildoorf, Prblanco, Ricardo Lampert, TTM, MarioB, b-tone and several others)

And we're back again with Pedersen attacking Greenhalgh for 13th

He passes him on the inside

But Greenhalgh fights back immediately, and re-overtakes Pedersen

The current standings show us that Spencer closes up to Edwards

Somogyi pulls out of Hinz' slipstream

And passes him going into turn 1

Elleker seems to be faster than his teammate

Cartwright in 10th, with Scala right behind him

He attacks him on the backstraight and gets 10th

Cartwright tries to fight back, but without success

Onboard with Spencer as his teammate Steer sets a new fastest lap

Maverick has to defend hard against Legge

Six laps to go, and Spencer is getting closer and closer

Elleker now finally finds a way past his teammate

Somogyi too has a look at the inside

But Pedersen shuts the door. Is this due to the old equipment, or is it starting to rain?

Going into the last corner, and this time Somogyi makes the move

Santilal with a quiet race, currently running in 19th

Missed by the cameras Pedersen has re-overtaken Somogyi

Scala now has closed the gap to Greidanus

Going out of the last corner he immediately attacks the Dutchman

He's already in front of him way before turn 1, and Cartwright too wants to pass Greidanus

He has the inner line and gets through

Legge veeery close to Maverick

3 laps to go, and Spencer now is right behind Edwards

Look at this, the rain is pouring down now!

But only at some parts of the track. And again a missed overtake, not the best job by the Tv-crew today

Yup, definitely not.

I doubt Spencer can see much in his current position

Last lap for Edwards, but Spencer still has the chance to get back in the lead

Scala now in 8th, he just has passed van Renselaar

Kederer and Warrington at the back end of the field

Spencer still right behind Edwards

He tries it on the way to turn 9, but Edwards can keep him behind

But the gap is very small

They're on the way to the final corner, and it seems that Spencer is too far away now for an overtaking manoeuvre

And Owen Edwards wins the Malaysian GP!

Spencer finishes in second

Carlos Rodríguez completes the podium

And on the final meters Scala overtakes Maverick and gets 7th!

Seems a made a big mistake at the start of the season

Wahoooo!!! Yeah baby yeeeaah! First podium for me and for ONE! I was lucky to beat Jack and Charrel, thought for a moment that Connor was gonna ruin my day! (No hard feelings man, you didn't do anything, so you're safe ;-))

Lovely race for my two boys, congratulations must go out to them for 4th and 5th, picked up a bucket load of points.

Particularly pleased with our Dutch maestro for getting into 4th after starting back in 9th.

Bittersweet moment as well for Jack as he swept past Maverick.

Perfect for the Constructors Championship.

Lovely stuff by our protege too taking his first podium finish for ONE Racing.

14th, not good, but not as bad as the last few...

4th and 5th! Great result for the team, grabbing a good amount of points.

Good for me that I managed to overtake my teammate on track, a podium was realistic without the slight delay at my pitstop.
When it started raining we took down the pace to secure a good finish.

Overall a good result for the team, but still disappointed to let that podium finish slip away.
