Oh well... what about a sprint race with inverted grid? ;)

My GPGSL Career
3rd... wow. Unexpected. Last race, Sarosa moved forward from the qualified position, so I guess same here can lead to an incredible result. Good luck everyone

Really sorry to hear about that Rod, hopefully things get better for you soon!

As for qualifying, first incredibly beautiful graphics Tobi! As well as a very nice looking south korean car for South Korea!
Unfortunately my session was incredibly disappointed. As i had said i wanted top 5 but instead bottom of the max boosters... a real statement of how this season has been...

I have some good news. My computer problem has been sorted out, and I can run GP4 again. So sometime in the near future I'll be able to run races again.

And on this suggestion, last time I put this idea out there it got a huge no, so you'll have to cope with the bad of the grid I'm afraid ;)

Yes yes yes!

;) ;)

Race has been run, lots of overtaking, some driving errors, some retirements, and of course also a winner. I'm currently uploading the pics, expect the coverage to be up maybe today, at the latest tomorrow.

I guarantee you that my team is not one of the teams overtaking the others ;)

Looking forward to it. Zandvoort delivers always spectacle.

Round 14 - Dutch Grand Prix - Race

Welcome everyone to the 14th round of the GPGNC, it's race day here at Zandvoort. The third season slowly comes to closure, with Germany still leading in the championship. However they only start from 17th today, so it's the big chance for the persecutor to close up. The cars return from the formation lap and are lining up the grid, so lets go straight to the track for a hopefully exciting race.

The five red lights are on

And it's go!

Rocket start by newbie Kung

Great Britain keeps the leads, and South Korea moves up to 3rd, brilliant getaway

Very slow start for Copeman, he's already some meters behind 21st as he arrives at the first corner

Girard pulling out to take the lead

He gets it

Sarosa retakes third from Kung

Vukcevic gets past de Boer, behind them Austin moves up to 10th

Domenech now in last as Copeman passed him

Fastest lap for Girard

De Boer tries to get back 8th, but Vukcevic defends his position

Tafuro now in last

Kung with the best start of the top 10

Domenech in trouble, he spins and finds himself in last again

Cauncaunibuca takes away 6th from Taytoh

de Boer drops back another position as Austin passes him

Turn 1 seems to be a popular overtaking place today, Nikolov gets past Kamikaze, behind them Silvestre passes Alvarez

Kederer takes 18th away from Tung

Paddock under pressure now with Sarosa right behind him

Second place for Team Philippines now

That's McGregor dropping back behind Cauncaunibuca

Japan and Bulgaria have swapped places again

After his bad start Copeman now is slowly climbing upwards, past the Chinese car of Tung

Paddock is back in second, Sarosa wasn't able to pull away

With the pair behind him fighting, Girard is able to open up a little gap

The further positions

Sarosa in second again, and the timing shows us that Cauncaunibuca has passed Kung

Silvestre loses 15th to Alvarez

And it's Paddock back in second

And Kung retakes 4th

McGregor loses another position to Taytoh

Nikolov and Kamikaze continue their battle for 13th

Kederer moves up to 17th

What has happened here? Paddock dropped back to 5th!

The replay shows us that he run wide at turn 14

And now it looks a bit like pack racing in Nascar

Cauncaunibuca passes Kung again, while the sixpack is approaching turn 1

Paddock the big loser here, drops back another 3 positions

Copeman gains another position as he passes Cremasco

Taytoh and Vukcevic battling for 5th

And Taytoh takes it

Much work to do for Paddock, he starts with passing de Boer

Vukcevic ahead of Taytoh now

Domenech is the first retirement of the day, he lost control of the car and hit the tyre wall

Collision between Copeman and Alvarez, just seconds after Domench's crash

The replay shows us that Alvarez has run wide

and returned on the track just as Copeman flies by

That was a rather heavy impact, luckily both drivers are ok, and noone was hit by the debris

Kamikaze and Nikolov swapping positions once again

McGregor seems to be struggling, he keeps dropping back

Kederer gets past Silvestre now

At the top Girard has increased his lead to over 4 seconds

What did I just say about McGregor? He fights back against Austin

13 laps completed, with the first stops to come soon it's time for our first break.

What an action, daring pass of Team Ireland at Scheivlak.

Round 14 - Dutch Grand Prix - Race

We're back with a replay, McGregor has run wide a bit during the break.

Cauncaunibuca opens the first round of pitstops

de Boer and Taytoh also in

as well as Kederer and Grimaldi

Bad luck for Taytoh, he has to wait for de Boer to pass

Vukcevic heads to the pits

so do Austin, Paddock, Silvestre and Cremasco

Easy pass for Cauncaunibuca with fresher tyres

Grimaldi in the pits again with a braking problem

The crew of team USA has done a better job at the stop, Austin now ahead of Paddock

Silva and Nikolov coming in for fuel and new tyres

Tafuro, who is yet to stop, is passed by Paddock

Sarosa comes to the pits

Silva now also past Tafuro

and Kederer too

The top 4 now all coming in for their first stops

Sarosa has dropped back behind Cauncaunibuca during the stops, but now he retakes second

Kung back out right between Taytoh and de Boer

Tung and Tafuro are the last ones to come in

The standings after the first round of pitstops

A short interruption as Girard improves the fastest lap

Kederer now past Silva as we can see in the timing

That's Silva off the track, he drops back from 11th to 16th

Cremasco passes Silvestre for 13th

Kamikaze slips through as well

Austin overtakes Taytoh

Cremasco drops back to 14th again as Kamikaze passes him

Austin closing up quickly to Kung

And he goes past, Kung seems to have a problem!

He has, his car is on fire! An oil leak ends what has been a great debut so far.

Nikolov gets past Kederer in turn 1

Great move by Kamikaze here in turn 12

Paddock keeps climbing up, now he's past Taytoh

Some more overtaking in turn 1, McGregor passes de Boer

and Silva Silvestre

Kederer struggling a bit now, he falls back another position

As does Taytoh, McGregor now in front of him

These two keep on passing each other

It's time for another break, we'll be back in time for the second round of pitstops.

Round 14 - Dutch Grand Prix - Race

As promised we're back just in time, Kamikaze and Austin are the first ones to come in

followed by Silva

Paddock and Tung come in one lap later

That's Silvestre passing Kederer

Vukcevic heading to the pits

Silvestre and Kederer too

Better stop for team Germany, they're back ahead of Silvestre

Sarosa, Cauncaunibuca and Cremasco come in

The race leader pits, as does Taytoh

Sarosa has lost his left front wheel! What has happened to him?

Here's the replay: he passed McGregor in turn 1

And then run wide some seconds later in Gerlachbocht and crashed in the wall.

Kamikaze trying to overtake Taytoh under yellow, he better backs up here if he doesn't want to get a penalty

He did, so I guess no further action has to be taken

Tafuro in the pits

McGregor and de Boer now also come in

The Dutchmen gets out just ahead of Grimaldi

Vukcevic past Paddock now

Grimaldi enters the pits

And Paddock is back ahead of Vukcevic

The further positions

Now Vukcevic is in 4th again

de Boer passes Nikolov for 9th

With a gap of 24 seconds to second, it's Girard's race to lose now

Taytoh is off the track

He remains in 7th, but Kamikaze is right behind him now

And 4th goes back to Paddock

de Boer passes Kamikaze for 8th

Kamikaze has spun!

The replay shows us that he has run wide in Gerlachbocht. He can continue, but he's out of the points in 15th now

Vukcevic back ahead of Paddock

Although they are fighting, they're quickly closing up to Austin

Now they're both past, Austin seems to have made a small mistake

No, he hasn't, he has an electronical problem which forces him to do a third stop

Apparently the teamradio was affected too, the crew isn't prepared for his stop

He lost the podium with two laps to go, and is in 16th and out of the points now

15th now as he passes Grimaldi, and Girard ahead of him has started the final lap

Congratulations to Jean Girard and Team France to their first win this season

Second place for Cauncaunibuca

3rd place and the first podium finish this season for Vukcevic

4th place for Paddock, just ahead of McGregor

Taytoh finishes 6th, de Boer in 7th

8th place for Nikolov

Silva crosses the line in 9th, and the final point goes to Cremasco for 10th

Thanks everyone for watching, full results will be up soon!

Damn, another wasted race by Kamikaze! Thrown away a good race, this is awful. :-(

Splendid coverage with excellent graphics btw. (Y)

Woo-hoo! 8th place is more than we hoped for. With so many cars with max boost, we expected to be 9th or 10th. 8th is superb result, well done Nikolov!
Yesterday I had to reinstall the entire OS and now at last returned everything to normal I meet an abandonment, something more?? ;) ;)

A disastrous race for us...

Look at that, of 21th to 10th, but we had luck as we wouldn't be in this position if the opponents in front of us didn't had all those problems

Solid race for Cremasco, no boost and a top 10
