Seems very likely.

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.

Wow, just maximised this tab again to come across DJ's post about the practice, then refreshed the BBC tab to find the practice coverage starting now!
Though I'm falling asleep and I've got a uni class at 9AM, but bleh! ;)

Let's enjoy what should be a better weekend this time!

MS "will win this weekend"... LOL.

He seemed to be going pretty well when the red flags came out though.

i'm sure Michael will do really good this weekend... not sure about a win thou

even in his glory and dominant days when he used to win races by 40+secs advantage, in practice it wasn't surreal to see him 15... and nowadays a "race environment lap" could mean 4 secs off easily

I hope Jenson does better as well

Only caught the opening 10 minutes and the closing 10 (trip to work in between), but some really silly (sleepy?) driving in the final 10 minutes there!

well, then you didn't miss anything gav, literally, it started raining early in qualy, it only got dry the last 15 minutes, but it wasn't until the last 10 that times and track was quick again

holding my breathe because they were quick in FP at Bahrain. At least here they look alot more stable.

Quick one on Lewis v's JB. I seem to remember Heikki finishing higher than Lewis alot in FP ;-)! Too early to make any preditcion on either driver except that they look more confortable than Bahrain.

I think come qualifying Ferrari and RedBull will be the ones to beat still. 100% sure Lewis is up for the job but Jenson cant afford another poor qualifying and im not sure he can do it yet.

Slash, don't you mean FP2 rather than quali? ;)

Sounds like a promising weekend so far though, Australia has an amazing way of throwing up drama. And if there's rain about during the race that'll be a great finishing touch. :D

Lewis Hamilton has been intercepted by traffic police at Albert Park - for a burnout. His car has been impounded for 24hrs. He is facing one charge...

it was pretty stupid, there is always going to be a large police presence around this sort of event.

Apparently Ron Dennis implied that Red Bull may have a small fuel tank and thus had to conserve fuel in Bahrain leading to Vettel backing off. This despite the fact that Webber had no problems whatsoever and that the car was misfiring.

Horner rubbishes fuel consumption concerns

On the subject of fuel tanks, Virgin have admitted that their fuel tank is too small and they can't realistically finish a race (Although they don't look likely to reach half distance). Rumours that the tank may be 13 litres too small.

Oops

Missed FP, although doesn't sound as though I missed much. Think Vettel and Webber will be up there for pole, competing with Hamilton and Alonso.

Vettel's response to Ron's claims was brilliant though.

"Maybe Ron Dennis wanted to attract attention with his theory, because otherwise no one asks for his opinion anymore"

Assuming it's the same Vettel we see on TV then it would have been done with the tongue firmly in the cheek, but even if it's a dig, then it's still brilliant. :D

You've got to love Vettel, certainly a young man very much at ease with himself.
