Australian Grand Prix ***SPOILERS***

Bahrain wasn't boring, it just wasn't Melbourne. It was interesting until Red Bull broke a horn, the horses pranced by and the rest got stuck in that awful 2nd sector. Never mind the aero, just slay that 2nd sector.

But it's no longer practice, not yet a season. Congrats to Alonso, Massa and Hamilton for their podiums. Tough luck Vettel, hard work Rosberg, watch out for... guess who. Who indeed.

Now roll on Albert Park. The ducks fart where joggers dare to breathe but for one weekend a year, ducks take wise direction from nightly migrating bats while stubborn joggers wonder why their ipods suddenly make them deaf. Preferably.

Anyway, it's F1 in Melbourne! Albert Park has a habit of delivering, hasn't it Jenson. Fasten your belt champ.
Here's the obligatory track map:

If you want the past, Google it or consult your preferred source.
Stick it through 'em Webber!

Now then gentleposters, start your own opinions...

I would LOVE to see Webber win this! :D

Jenson drives it like he owns it; Lewis drives it like he stole it
I hope Force India do well and HRT do better. Although I'm not expecting them to finish.

Well he should have been on the podium (at least) in Bahrain if he didn't screw up qualifying, so he definitely has a chance.

It would be fantastic to see Webber win, or even at least a podium. However, the expectation is very high, so there will be a lot of pressure - and a few times in the last year when the pressure was on, particularly in qualifying, he hasn't quite been able to deliver.

Hopefully it is a good race, because the negative comments in the press are becoming very tiresome.

That RB Simulator. Thats a rF Melbourne and sounds right? Would I be wrong in saying it is rF then?

Also, hope for some overtaking and strategy variation. If not that then a JB or Lewis win. Wouldnt mind seeing Webbo take it though.

My random result is a Kubica on podium ;-)!

edit -

For those in Britain, clocks go forward an hour at 1am on Sunday...

So I think race start is 7am BBC coverage 6am. Because they go forward an hour, at worst if you get it wrong you will just be awak an hour too early ;-)!

"Trulli was slowing down like he wanted to have a picnic" LOL

No, you'll be thinking you wake up at 7, but it's an hour later so it's 8. Then you've missed most of the race :P
Cant wait to head down to Melbourne! Woohoo!!! :)

2013 - Nando must come through..

From the way the cornering groove is constructed, you can see that it is an incarnation of the rF engine. Which one it is, is hard to say for certain. The lack of bumps would indicate that the track is the Albert Park GP4 conversion, but the ING adverts seem to fit better to the Albert Park Australia 2009 1.00 conversion. So that is where I would put my money if I had to bet on it. That would make it the standard rFactor engine.

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.

Vettel sounds extremely like Schwarzenegger ;)

Yeah that time change is going to be a massive problem. Last year I woke up right in the middle of the race.

This could be awesome. Rainy sunset = carnage and drivers earning their money.
Inother news, I wish there was a burger king near where I work. ..

The Thursday crowd was 46,000 - almost double Turkey's race day crowd in 2009 ;)
