I can't see that happening, if it does then they must be having some problems with the car. Worrying indeed for both Red Bull teams. Given that there's no actually quotes though and it is Buemi, who seems to be spouting off all kinds of crap.

It'll just be an official press or livery launch. They'll be out testing before then. :)

I really hope they do get it right, I want Vettel to do something this year, and make a big mark on the F1 grid.
BTW, what engines have Red Bull got next year?

They'll still be using the Renault engine, although it should be improved. Didn't the teams agree to allow Renault to make some modifications?

The main team that I think that will suffer with no in season testing will be Ferrari, they are already behind with KERS.

Teams without it are going to be badly affected on fast tracks, they will get passed on the straight and in quali will not have the same straight line speed.

I also think it could lead to a few crashes.

The teams will only really need to sort out any fundamentals on track. Most of the work can be done just as well in the electronic engineers playrooms. Ferrari may well have come to the conclusion that they'd be better off choosing where to place ballast or that it's not ready for full deployment yet, and just run without KERS at least for now.

This is the team most renowned for testing things out even before they've even become official, though under the previous guidance, I'm sure they've not suddenly forgot all their most basic of principles. They know what they're doing.

The performance with KERS depends of the driver´s weight too. Kubica said Heidfeld has an advantage against him because his weight... So they can make equal with Heidfeld with KERS and Kubica not. KERS put about... 40kg? on the rear so the car set-up its very different... You should see which solution (with KERS and not with KERS) is faster

The FIA really have made things difficult here. By limited how much energy can be stored and used per lap they have put the teams in such a difficult place...Apparently it seems almost pointless using KERS this season, and if they introduce a standard system next year then again why did they introduce it this year in the first place :s. As ever well done to Max and his bright ideas.

It's been confirmed that it will definately run on Monday.
I hope, that the teams can make good looking cars instead of the test prototypes.

Thanks SAMF1, those dates are written down and I look forward to seeing what the teams can come up with! I thought you'd missed some teams off at first, looking at how short the list was, then realised you hadn't. Sad times for F1 at the moment :(

Circuit Thermalito

Liverpool Waterfront Circuit (WIP)
Nice to start with the Ferrari.

Wonder which driver will get no3 and which one will get no4?

Not that it matters! Numbers don't seem as important as they used to. For example, driving a number 27 mclaren or a number 12 lotus...or even Ligier and their 25 and 26.

...well, the no1 has a little bit of importance attached to it i suppose!

Edit: 27 McLaren?!!! I meant 27 Ferrari of course! Got 1990 on the brain!

I should imagine that Massa will be given first refusals on the #3 by way of his better season than Kimi in 2008. He'll probably accept it as well unless there's some superstition attached to it.
