the renault r28 has also started testing today at valencia. however, like the williams, it is probably not the definitive livery - the renault launch is jan. 31





looks nice, they have made quite a lot of changes, and another mclaren bridge wing... i like the sidepods too!

Interesting front wing. It's kinda triple now.

They have moved the mirrors back in closer to the cockpit after a year with them out on the sidepods! Wonder if that means the ones on the sidepods were crap!

also the mirrors i suspect have been moved because of the increased cockpit sides.

That nose is brilliant! Its almost as if the supports for the wing are another element. Obviously the liverys still not not great but I've kinda got used to it now.

There is actually quiet alot of mclaren if u look close, the same type of front wing most teams are using and the side pods are very mclaren.

Other than that I think the car is the worst so far of the new cars, but again the paint work does not help.

notice the tiny support under the bridge wing holding it up over the top of the nose, as you can see in the 2nd and 3rd pics.

yes I saw the support, by using this they can probably make the wing lighter as te support should stop it flexing.

This isnt the final livery dont forget.

This is only a track debut, not a launch.

Just the beginning. Anyway is not a bad time to start.

Thats not a bad time on the 1st day, BMW got down to a 1:12 after a few days.

In one word: ugly

It is a good time considering that most of the session was stopped due to the fog so there was a lot of humidity, first day for the car... It seems it could have been easily in 1.12 with a few more laps and some work, so quite good I think.

yeah it's a good start but way too early to say if the car is competitive enough to challenge top teams.we have to see the rest of the week when other teams will test at Valencia too .also Alonso didn't made really any long runs so we don't know how the car will work on race pace also is it reliable?we don't know but next couple of months will show it :D

having been staring at pics of it for the last four hours I still cant figure out if the car looks a masterpiece or a monster piece of ****. I cant wait to see it in action however

This nose looks like its gonna take alot of ballast !
Also being quite low, the lower wishbones do not have as much of an angle connecting to the chassis as the other teams by the looks of it.
