Qatar event, tonight, it under serious threat due to the weather. The 125cc race has been red-flagged on lap 4.

They can't see jack with the lights reflecting off the track and rain refracting on their visors. If it's wet, they can't race. Simple as.

There are Sepang levels of rain at the moment.

125cc results confirmed after an entire 4 laps with Andrea Iannone winning... half points awarded. Where have you heard that recently?

Lightning has cleared, the water has just about dried up (racing line is required to be dry and a dry race declared) and the 250s are about to start.

The race will be held tonight. 7pm UK time, 9pm UAE.

I've got no idea if it will be on UK TV or not. I'd expect it to be on the BBC website in some form or other though. Probably be on Eurosport too.

BBC coverage via the red button (or channels 301 or 302 on Freeview for those of us with Media Centre) and the website from 6:45pm.

I guess they couldn't use BBC3 as that only becomes active at 7pm, so they'd start just as the race did. Until 7pm that frequency is used for CBBC or Ceebies or something.

I presume Eurosport will manage to shoehorn it into one of their schedules easily enough. :)

//edit: apparently Eurosport have it on at 10pm.

If it's via Freeview then yes, you just need to manually find 301 and/or 302.

they dont appear in my WMC guide, so when i punch in 301 or 302 nothing happens, do i have to manually tune those channels or something?

Glad you did.

Yes, you'd have probably had to manually tune them if it wasn't picked up automatically. BBC Red Button stuff switches to 301 or 302 depending on what option you pick, although I doubt WMC has that capability.

WMC blocks those channels, so i had to edit the registry entry in regedit and then rescan so WMC picked them up

would have been handy to have known that before FP sessions in aus and malaysia :P

Ah well, we live and learn. Tis one reason I dislike WMC - it's mostly catered to a US audience. :)

Good MotoGP race though, some good battles throughout the field, especially the battle for 6th between 3 riders, but Stoner had that sewn up from the first corner!

Yep was a good race, glad Stoner is on good form, really hope he gets his 2nd WDC this year.

And omg, how to Pedrosa manage to keep hold of that when he got bashed from the side!!

It was awesome. I really thought Jorge had done enough. At least they didn't celebrate one lap early like in the 125's!

As I've told my dad, to me Valentino is in MotoGP what Senna was in F1. Just watched it after having it recorded on DVR, reading forum posts or articles cannot give even a remote idea of how great it was. To whoever hasn't seen it, find it and watch it!
