One fascinating alternative is the "Big Brother" inspired method of connecting your TV to a dynamo powered by the exercise bike. The TV only works when you power it up by using the bike. No exercise? No TV.by Locke Cole - Off-Topic
Eating nothing for dinner isn't a good way to lose weight, because your body becomes accustomed to not having any energy coming in, and so it stores fat. IMHO so long as you stick to a sensible balanced diet (i.e. a range of things, not too much of anything) then you'll be fine. But I'm not really one to offer advice, I'm one of those annoying people who feasts on whateverby Locke Cole - Off-Topic

Hang on, Nurburgring 2007... I remember this part of the year now, I have NEVER seen this race! Is there a link to it anywhere online? lolby Locke Cole - F1
Erm, yes lol. The rest of the description still stands, I just got the wrong year.by Locke Cole - F1
Hockenheim 2000, Rubens' first F1 win in such unbelievable circumstances. He started 18th on the grid, then lucked in when the rain started coming down in the later laps. A very emotional moment for him and the fans! Sepang 2001, Schumacher showing everyone how to drive in the rain. Australia 2003, everyong thought the Ferraris would dominate but half the field starting on wet tyres inby Locke Cole - F1
Oh lordy... Jcaranti, go grab your oxygen mask and walking boots. You've got a molehill to climb.by Locke Cole - Off-Topic
I support Mortal. Jcaranti is a user who bursts into flames every time someone so much as uses a punctuation mark that he feels is inappropriate. Suddenly it becomes a massive molehill of personal insults and indignation. It's extremely tiresome. I have to say, I don't deal much with the GP4 forum (I don't really understand those guys) but I recognise the fact that approximatelyby Locke Cole - Off-Topic
Continuing that train of thought, maybe we should have a special waterlogged section of racetrack - and snipers.by Locke Cole - F1
Alonso is a similar driver to Mansell IMHO just for pure determination. He wrings the neck of any car he's given! From that respect, I'd also lump him in the same category as Keke Rosberg and Gilles Villeneuve.by Locke Cole - F1
By comparing Alonso to the likes of JPM and Fisi, you're hardly bigging him up.by Locke Cole - F1
Simple track design rules. 1) Give a 3-year-old a crayon and a bit of paper. 2) Allow him to randomly scribble. 3) Remove the crayon, retain the paper. 4) Submit for approval as a Formula 1 track design.by Locke Cole - F1
BTW did anyone make any money on Sutil being the first person of the 2010 season to be involved in an accident?by Locke Cole - F1
Sorry to disagree but all of those things IMHO would make F1 a far duller sport. Perhaps banning silly wheel rims is a sensible suggestion, but the others would either have no effect or would be counter-productive to the spectacle of the sport.by Locke Cole - F1
Jake Humphrey interviewed Patrick Head extensively about the Cosworth engines before the race, and Patrick very carefully (IMHO) avoided discussing the engine's power. He complimented Cosworth on their reliability, fuel efficiency, etc. but never mentioned power, and made the ambiguous comment "We're not quite where we want to be with it yet" ... which to me, indicates they arby Locke Cole - F1
I'd ease the limitations on engines, gearboxes, etc. so that teams are not forever trying to preserve worn-out components. I'd introduce limits on diffusers to enable cars to follow each other more closely through the air. I'd make it mandatory for tyre manufacturers to produce a certain grade of rubber which offers excellent performance for a limited time, then drops off horby Locke Cole - F1
<<Mod hat on>> Isaint and davidm... The content of your discussion is fine, but please conduct it like adults and not kids in a playground. Thanks muchly.by Locke Cole - F1
My verdict on the race: Great to see the tactical 'sprint' section of the race in the opening 20 laps, but the rest of it was mind-numbingly dull and boring. A true own-goal for F1 today, everyone fights for the first third of the race and then settles back to conserve their degrading cars. Fantastic result for Ferrari, and deservedly so IMHO. They were the best prepared team for the 2by Locke Cole - F1
I don't think the Merecedes is ready to challenge for the title yet, no matter HOW good Rosberg and Schumacher are.by Locke Cole - F1
Boris Becker is Schumacher's biggest fan, bar none.by Locke Cole - F1
Interesting comment on formula1.com, apparently HRT are still running the Cosworth engine in 'safe mode' because they're not yet sure of how it works with the car. So they should be able to instantly gain a couple of seconds per lap when that's turned up fully in Melbourne.by Locke Cole - F1
Q3 is low-fuel, soft tyres, balls-out as it should be!by Locke Cole - F1
24 cars, IF Chandhok's is ready to go. Neither HRT is likely to run the full distance, however.by Locke Cole - F1
Massa likes Bahrain, I'm touting him for victory regardless of whether or not the Red Bull makes it to the finish.by Locke Cole - F1
Yeah, I'm feeling pretty happy with my choices right now.by Locke Cole - F1
Still impossible to tell at the moment, apart from the fact that the predicted "top four" are indeed the top four - though we won't know the genuine order until Qualifying. I see nothing wrong with the new teams at present. The learning curve, in the first few weeks, is much steeper than it is afterwards. Let's not forget that these new teams are all in the first few weeksby Locke Cole - F1
No, I disagree. I'd much rather have an enthusiastic, knowledgeable but irritating commentator over an inoffensive but dull and lifeless one.by Locke Cole - F1
I've joined as Aurora Borealis. I've decided to experiment with a driver-centred team, i.e. I've gone for the two cheapest possible teams and will ignore them throughout the season. All my effort will go into the drivers. And, for the first race, 50% of that effort is sitting with Ferrari lol.by Locke Cole - F1
Karthikeyan wasn't a bad driver, he just had an atrocious car to work with. Apparently his technical input was excellent (although I can't provide a source for that information right at this moment.)by Locke Cole - F1
