Yeah that's also another factor. The Circuit length. But what's going to happen by the time we get to places like Monaco. It's going to be a right old hazard. The teams are going to be, to use Christian Horner's words, "bleeting" because they don't have the space.
F1 does seem to have quite short memories with something like this. Lotus and Virgin are already within 107% of the pace so far, about 5ish seconds out, which is Minardi pace from 2005. Hisperian is going to take longer to get upto speed but it will most likely have come by the time we get to Monaco etc. Even so, what do you suppose they did back in say 1992? Have people suddenly forgotten that 5 seconds could separate the top 10 let alone the whole grid? Going into 1993 the gap was sometimes 3 seconds between the top 5. Im starting to get fed up of drivers and others bitching about this, but in truth its been like this in F1 for god knows how many years previously.

Big Bird moved to a warmer place over the winter, just like any other bird does. You can hardly have not noticed him flying through the air ;)
Erm....

At least the wheel stayed on the HRT...
NASCAR leads F1.

RBR resorting to duct tape for aerodynamic tweaks (suspected cooling issues).
Shame about Chandhok, really have to feel for him. :\
23-car grid it will be then.
Still can't really judge too much from the session I believe, although I think Alonso is looking pretty good...
poor Chandok indeed! Looks like Alonso and Rosberg are in good shape, but for me the ferrari looks like it has a slight upperhand

Still impossible to tell at the moment, apart from the fact that the predicted "top four" are indeed the top four - though we won't know the genuine order until Qualifying.

I see nothing wrong with the new teams at present. The learning curve, in the first few weeks, is much steeper than it is afterwards. Let's not forget that these new teams are all in the first few weeks of their car's life, and so will be traversing a more vertical incline than the other teams. That is to say, they are taking longer to get up to speed but when they DO get up to speed, they will be a lot closer than they are currently.

Just seen on twitter.

Chandhok can take part in qualifying. Rules forbid drivers who haven't done practice from racing, but qualifying counts as practice"

So at least Karun gets to drive.

Is there something missing from the HRT steering wheel (on Senna's car)?
The hands of a good driver? :-)

Interesting qualifying, strange because we still have no idea how the race will turn out. If Hamilton could burn through soft's in 4 laps on friday, how long will the other drivers make them last in race conditions?

Massa was the only driver to improve the time from q2 to q3... and Schumacher the one who lost less time, just a tenth

race is going to be pretty interesting i think, i don't see this a victory for Red Bull yet, also first couple of laps will be decisive in terms of saving tyres... some divers under pressure might suffer and start wearing them out so a lot technical ability to win the race, GOOD..

with 23 cars going for T1, very heavy, the priority will be to survive.. i hope the new guys don't pull a Grosjean move and keep their heads straight. including Michael
Good job by Vettel - was a little disappointed by Button though. If Massa can get a good start he might take this one. But I'll be rooting for Vettel and Sutil!

Hamilton is a very agressive driver, it'll be very interesting to compare his race with Jenson's
Blimey the redbull really showed its pace in Q2/Q3. What a great lap from Vettel, the onboard was great to watch.

I was shocked the see Massa beat Alonso but hopefully tomorrow the cleaner side makes a difference! ;)
