Yeah, the search engine seems to be b0rked - it's been ages since any of my searches have returned anything too. :-/ Great little piece, that's the first time I've heard you speak, and you did actually manage a few Brundle-esque moments too IMO. (I personally hate hearing myself speak on recordings, there always seems to be something embarrassing about it. You come across as verby EC83 - Off-Topic

Those videos are brilliant, the helmet camera is an awesome idea. IIRC you posted the first one in another thread just after you'd made it, about 4 years ago? I remember you describing having to get out and push the kart on the wet grass and your Converse providing no grip at all or something. That looked more like rallying! I think it's a measure how @#$%& my head was back in 2011, and what a bad place I was in personally for reasons beyond my control, that I was so diabolically lax and generally hopeless when it came to acknowledging responses I got and keeping folk updated. OK... So, tonight, I went Karting for the very first time. I've been meaning to do it for years, but kinda passively and vaguely, in a "One day..." context. A few days ago, I decided I'd just go for it - the next time I'd be able to afford a session, as I was skint at that point. I feel for Ricciardo here. To do everything right and then have a Monaco win taken away from him because the team @#$%& up his pitstop... Pathetic of them, especially if they'd made the call. After Barcelona too, I thought he controlled his emotions very well on the podium.by EC83 - F1

Quality thread. I've been lurking on these forums since 2007, and posting since 2008, but in threads like this I still feel like a newbie. I'm definitely aware of the history of the forums(Including the Old Phorum. Back in 2009 I managed to access parts of it via the Wayback Machine. Plus he was also wrong to try such an aggressive move on the first lap of the race, when he would've had plenty more opportunities to take the lead later on... It's like he panicked because someone had gotten ahead of him. I'm reminded of Fuji 2008, TBH.by EC83 - F1

This one is promising to be pretty good. Different tyre strategies on a track where they'll be particularly obvious, strong form from Ferrari in all sessions except the one that really mattered, and the defending Champ starting from the pit lane after technical issues - plus the weather has been both unpredictable and crazy all weekend. Could be a classic race if that lot meets in the midby EC83 - F1

I liked the one-shot quali format over Friday and Saturday that we had in 2003, that really worked well. You got to see each driver's true single-lap pace uninterrupted by traffic, you got to study each lap in detail, and it really shuffled the order up whenever there was changeable weather during the quali hour. (The best example was Friday quali at Magny-Cours when the track was drying outby EC83 - F1

Holy @#$%&, that's an insane crash. Fortunately Fernando is clearly OK, and nobody seems to be hurt. Almost a replay of Villeneuve/Ralf in 2001. Turn 3 definitely collects some big ones.by EC83 - F1

Who here has Instagram? I started an account last year and, with my interest in photography and all, found it to be a revelation.
