@leolo1974, when you said "insert the value you want for first split time sector", do you mean percentage of whole lap or track sector number?by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Aren't the split sector positions calculated by GP4? In my Jerez, the splits were automatically inserted at 1/3 and 2/3 of the lap.by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
I started Jerez for fun and it seems it will be soon a driveable track The track layout is ready and I'll do some corrections in the .dat file before giving it to Laguna, who offered to make the graphics from September 15th onwards (Thanks in advance). From my page you can see track status. And I've recorded a whole lap in a poor-quality 4 MB movie which you can download here:by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Oops! Looks like Tony answered while I was writing... by the way, I use 428.75 instead of 430 -- it's more accurate but makes little difference.by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Use Lo2k's Team Editor, it has an excellent performance calculator. For the example you gave, the 800 BHP car will be 2.411% slower, so a 1% difference will come from a gap of about 41 BHP. Of course, this also depends on driver performance, so it's better to use Team Editor!by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
If you have GPxPatch it is possible. Open the gpxtrack.ini in the gpxpdata folder and then insert something like this at the end of the file: EnableTrackSpecificcarsWad=1 CarsWad01=cars.wad CarsWad02=cars.wad CarsWad03=cars.wad CarsWad04=cars.wad CarsWad05=cars.wad CarsWad06=cars.wad CarsWad07=cars.wad CarsWad08=cars_nt.wad CarsWad09=cars_nt.wad CarsWad10=cars_nt.wad CarsWad11=carby Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Just downloaded the track... INCREDIBLE!!! Seems like it was always there in the game, but we couldn't play it... almost perfect... "almost" because of the crashing on race finish and of the cc-line... but still an amazing work! Thanks shutt1e!by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Another thing: I noticed that most tracks have the "Right Pits Start" flag, including Interlagos and Montreal! And all of them have "16" in the unknown box. I changed my "Left Pits Start" to "Right Pits Start" and added the 16... didn't work either...by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
It really seems the pit config is not stored in the .dat. I changed my GP4's track order to: Melbourne, Sepang, Imola, Barcelona, A1-Ring, Monaco, Nurburgring, Montreal, Indianapolis, Magny-Cours, Silverstone, Hockenheim, Hungaroring, Monza, Spa, Interlagos and Suzuka, to look like 2005 season, using magic data, and the pit positions were kept correct in all tracks that had positions changedby Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Still didn't work... I must be doing something wrong... better complete the banks and elevations and worry about this later... Sim, sou brasileiro!!!by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
@Zeppelin: Hard surface down behind the garages? What do you mean exactly? The inside part of garages, where the car stays on practice sessions? @Maverick: The problem seems a bit worse than that. In fact, pictrew looks "mirrored" (the lollipop man on the inside and the fueling men on the outside). I've put three screenshots on my page so you can understand easily what's haby Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Hello again! For anyone who wishes to see my Jerez track progress, it's on this page: . @Zepellin: sorry but I'm not so sure if I can finish the .dat this week... guess you'll have to wait a little longer (kinda busy with differential and integral calculus... I have an exam tomorrow). Also, if anyone has any video coverage of any race held in Jerez in recent years and could sby Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
I'm not sure, but I understand that if you set the ability to 16128 and the range to 128, the driver's ability will vary from 16000 (16128-128) to 16256 (16128+128). The exact value will be chosen by GP4 at random, between these two extremes at every session, or maybe at every lap. If I'm talking nonsense, please correct me.by Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
I've just finished the CC Line for my Jerez track. Not so good, as best lap times are around 1min23s (same as fastest lap on 97 GP). The problem is, the game crashes after the race ends in this track! Anyone has an idea of what might be happening? EDIT: I rebuilt the .bin files and this didn't happen again, hope it's fixed. Now I'll adjust the height and remove the bumps Iby Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
Hi there! If anyone is interested (and if nobody else is making this -- sorry, had no patience to read the whole thread) I've just made my Jerez track "work". It's still newborn, so there are a lot of things that must be done -- especially CC line. (the cars that run the most crashed at the chicane) From the picture below you can see what's been done so far. My track iby Prblanco - Grand Prix 4
