@magicsenna, Great job, winning a GP! Did you also do a 100% race with the slipstream effect on? It makes it much more difficult but also much more realistic and more fun! @McLeo, I use the default values of 50 and 3. I'm think of lowering them a little bit because now it's very hard to lap other cars.... Which value do you use? @Ruboy, Yes, it's the best thing of GP4! Peoby JeDa - Grand Prix 4
This is a tribute to gp4tweakers slipstream effect which I managed to install this week, see my other post! For those who doesn’t know what this tweak does, it simulates the dirty air behind a car, which results in lost of downforce when you follow a car close. This makes overtaking very difficult, and very realistic. Overtaking really is an art when you use this slipstreameffect! So, after aby JeDa - Grand Prix 4

Hi, I found out how it works, it's not complicated if you know what to do: 1) Install GP4Tweaker V1045_reloaded (date 6 sept 2005), you can get it here: 2) Run GP4 tweaker, make sure that if you have multiple installs of GP4 it points to the right install (see also the readme file), make a change to one of the options and hit "apply" I changed option 22, headmovement becauseby JeDa - Grand Prix 4

Hi, I did search, and there are indeed a lot of threads but in none of them I could find the answer to my question.... I read them all, they are about changing the values in the *.ini files and which values are realistic. I know how to change the files, I also know that I can change the just dont know how to enable the gp4tweak.ini to enable the slipstream effect but if I just put this ini fileby JeDa - Grand Prix 4
Hi, Nobody knows how I can install and get GP4tweaker to work? This is what I did: 1) installed the file as mentioned in the readme, I also created the shortcut, I found out how the /P option worked 2) I run GP4 tweaker.... but can't find the slipstream option anywhere... Hi, I have a question about the *.dat files which are included in this package. To which version of the tracks do they belong to? I mean there are different versions out for some of the tracks. I have downloaded most of the tracks here: sorry, didnt know it was not allowed....Are these tracks compatible with the *.dat files included in this package? What is exactly changed in the magic data?by JeDa - Grand Prix 4
You can get a Fuji here, don't know if it's the right version.... Note:Please don't direct link to the gp4world rapidshare account, Ive changed the link for now.by JeDa - Grand Prix 4
Hi, I have downloaded GP4 Tweaker and want to enable the slipstream effect. I have GP4 Teaker 1.0.4.5 How do I enable this slipstream option? I cant find it anywhere in GP4 Tweaker. I have 34 options I can chose from within GP4 Tweaker but the slipstream isn't included. Do I have the wrong version? Also, how do I enable the /P option in my GP4tweaker shortcut? I also had a lot of crashes. I tried everything but had no succes. Than I reinstalled GP4 without any patch or add on. I ran it in win98 compatibility mode and had no crashes. After that I installed the official GP4-patch, also still no crashes. I than installed GPxPatch, the game still was very stable. After that I installed CSM and some mods -> the games started crashing so I went back to prby JeDa - Grand Prix 4
No, I couldnt find the "main toolbox" toolbar. Is it in the menu? I havent added any textures to the material list.... Perhaps it's to complicated for me. Where should I put the tex file?by JeDa - Grand Prix 4
Hi, It doesnt work. This is what I did: 1) imported the cockpit_dash.gp4 file 2) switched to the "face(3)"level 3) select -> single -> right click on the item I want to move. It turns red 4) surface -> mapping -> assign UV -> left click on red item -> nothing happens.. 5) Switch to UV-mapper view -> nothing.... What am I doing wrong?by JeDa - Grand Prix 4
Thanks, But how can I remap them?by JeDa - Grand Prix 4
Hi, I found out that I can move them by using zmodeler. It works fine, only problem is that I can move the lights but I cant seem to move the textures which are supposed to be on the lights. How can I move the textures? Thanks, JeDaby JeDa - Grand Prix 4
Wow.... That's great! I didnt know that! Strange that these helmet files for only those three drivers are in this folder.... Do you know why they did that?by JeDa - Grand Prix 4
Hi, I just tried it but it doesnt work. driver21_1.tex and driver21_2.tex are textures from a driver form another team, in my case the 2nd Spyker driver. Actualy, his helmet is also not shown right. So I should replace his textures with the textures of the BMW drivers? But each driver has two textures so two drivers have four texture files. How can I put those four texture file in the two fileby JeDa - Grand Prix 4
Thanks!!! I'll try it! BTW are there any other drivers that have more than two files for the helmets?by JeDa - Grand Prix 4
Hi, Is it possible to move or remove some of the in cockpit lights? I mean the pit-indicator, the drivingaids led's etc? Which tool do I have to use to do this? I know that with teameditor it's possible to move ALL lights, but I want to move a SINGLE light. Thanks, JeDaby JeDa - Grand Prix 4
Hi, I have compiled my own 2007 season, I created my own cars.wad and other files. Everything works great, only the helmets of the two BMW drivers are wrong in game. Here is what I did, I put the new *.tex file for the helmets in my cars.wad: driver9_1.tex driver9_2.tex driver10_1.tex driver10_2.tex I checked this by opening the *.tex files with texeditor. The size of the texture is theby JeDa - Grand Prix 4
Thanks Addie! Will try it tonight! I tried copying the *.env files from the wad I like best to another track but it doesnt make a difference at all..... perhaps I am doing something wrong or are there any other files that control the track related reflections? Thanksby JeDa - Grand Prix 4
Thanks! Will try it right away!by JeDa - Grand Prix 4
Hi, On some of the tracks the reflections are much more noticable than on other tracks. On the Brasil track for example, everything is to shinny, it looks kinda weird. On other tracks the reflections are allmost not noticable. How can I change the reflections for each individual track? Thanks, JeDaby JeDa - Grand Prix 4
I'm also doing a complete F1 season. I chose the 1994 mod because 1994 was one of the first years I followed a complete season on TV. As a dutchman I picked the benetton of Verstappen. I have now finished 11 GPs (all 100% race distance) and I'm third in the championship just behind Senna and Schumacher. It's great fun, I can really recomend it people who havent done a 100% championby JeDa - Grand Prix 4
