Thanks for all the feedbacks, guys. I need the location of these files only to track down the loading code in the GP4 exe, so I can inject additional code to load specific shapes for each cars, which is stored as independent files on the separated folder without messing the *.wad content. LOD (Level of Details) is part of rendering technique adapted by Direct3D engine to "simulate" textures to be viewed from different distance of views. This technique help the 3D graphics to display the proper look of textures degradation to smoothening their appearance. When downloading GP4 Tweaker 1.0.4.5 Reloaded, there's a small app called keycode.exe to find virtual key code and scan code from the keyboard. With the help of this tiny app, we can set/change appropriate values stored in \gp4tweak_data\keybind.ini if we wish to remapping keys that used by GP4 Tweaker. Different steering wheels (in cockpit view mode) per driver/car was already on my to-do list, and now I put it in the top of development phase. TBH, I never knew the helmet shape is identical among drivers! Because the concept is no big differences with steering wheels, I put it on top of to-do list as well. @vesuvius and bigbrother: Well, a bit off topic; I missed lots of discussions. I saw many great screenshoots from GP4 and lots of modders has join the scene. There's also many new great tools coming while the "ancient" ones are getting better, more useful and offers many new features which are unthinkable in the past. In my opinion, it's hard to get smooth gameplay from onboard video card, I mean to get proper FPS that acceptable by human eyes (25+ FPS) especially when the game is running under DirectX environment unless the game is designed for DirectDraw only. For temporary solution, I agree with rajahassan by reducing texture. You have to experiment by yourself to reduce the texture size but with suchby Madman271 - Grand Prix 4
Just an addition, the steps above are done from GP4 Tweaker launcher program (gp4tweak.exe). There's a different way for those who use stand-alone GP4 Tweaker DLL module or ZaZ CSM with built-in GP4 Tweaker enabled (correct me if I'm wrong). 1) Find a file called gp4tweak.ini on your GP4 game folder. If it's there, edit with a text editor (e.g. Windows notepad). If don't, sby Madman271 - Grand Prix 4
I believe TeamEditor can be used to adjust the steering wheel. Alternative solution, GP4 Tweaker has capability to edit/adjust steering wheel position while you driving a car during game session. You can refer to this topic on how to do that. Good luck.by Madman271 - Grand Prix 4
@Fergy: 1) Check for gp4tweak.dll in the C:\windows\system32 folder, if there exists, delete it. Make sure you put gp4tweak.dll (from the reloaded package) in your GP4 install folder. 2) Use a small util (I forgot the name, perhaps patcher.exe) that came with the reloaded. This util will patch your gp4.exe so it'll load gp4tweak.dll module. 3) Edit gp4tweak.ini stored in your GP4 folder aby Madman271 - Grand Prix 4
You can edit gp4tweak.ini and enabling any tweak of your choice. If nothing happened, follow instructions at readme/install file from the package. I recommend to use the latest version, one with "reloaded" codename.by Madman271 - Grand Prix 4

Hi cysio, Can you give more info instead of "GP4 Tweaker doesn't work anymore"? GP4 tweaker came with two separated applications; the gp4tweak.EXE (shell) and gp4tweak.DLL (GP4 hook). If this MOD designed to run with CSM, try to look at MOD configuration file for CSM. The settings inside gp4tweak.ini file (or equivalent) may reside somewhere within this 95-MOD folders.
