Looks great, man. No need to ask me permission, just go ahead and use as much of my work as you needby _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Today I have decided to release all my Phoenix 1991 files. The package contains all the files I have made and used for this track. That includes the max9 file, textures, gp4 files, photo's etc. All files are free to use, adjust, modify, replace etc. Just mention my name and website in the readme when you decide to release the track. Send me an email when you have released it as Iby _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
I've added some extra stuff to the Porsche, fixed some bad shading and put on Ulf's new multispoke wheels:by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
As promised, I have some news. I leave it up to you to decide if it's good or bad As things look right now, I won't be able to finish the track. However I have found a couple of trackediting pro's willing to step in. This means that the track will be updated to current standards but also that there's more delay as they are already very busy. Hopefully you'll get toby _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
The latest version of the dat has a much better ccline and a new pitlane. But also it won't load in gp4. I haven't checked what was wrong, simply because I haven't had the time. I hope to have some news on this project next month. I can't say if it's good or bad news...by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
I'm either too lazy to remember my age or just too stupid to check page 3by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
If any of you want to build the Phoenix track that's ok with me. Just realize that the dat file is a very early version so it really need to be updated if you want to have a serious try. Good luck with it!by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Bumps are possible by adding a bump table to the .dat.by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
The advanced docs were written for an old version of CSM. I don't think they would help you much. What you can do is copy an existing mod and update it with your files. Update the .ini files to match the names of your files and delete the UID number inside the .csm file. Most files can be opened with notepad.by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
It has been silent for a while in this thread but there has been good progress. The Sauber Mercedes C9, Aston Martin AMR1 and the Nissan R88C carmodels are done. Tony did a great job painting them and is now working on their damage system. Anyway here's the latest preview of the Porsche 962C: You can find more about the building of this car (and of the C9) here.by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Amazing progress there, Tony!by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Great job! The model looks very good, as I expected from you Keep up the good work!by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Craig, it's been a pleasure working with you on the 01 Williams. Have a good time sorting things out and maybe we'll bump into each other in the future. Good luck mate.by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Paolo, I feel sad reading that your health issue is still getting the best out of you. I miss your presence but please understand that I fully support you, you know where to find me if you need me. The work and energy you have put into GP4 is one of the reasons that I kept modding for "our" game. Thank you for that. Please take your time to find the right balance in your life and knoby _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4

I will finish Phoenix but first I have to pay the rent and buy food Now that I have a job in the gaming business it's hard to focus in the small hours on these side projects (same goes for the Porsche 962c). From where I stand, the next two months are full but after that I might find a streak of creativity and finish this job!by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
No there isn't. The GP4 engine has its limitations...by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
It was a pleasure to paint this car. Nice to see it's finally releasedby _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Hi guys, I've just moved and I don't have the time to even think about this or the other gp4 projects. First I have to get connected to the internet and second I have loads of stuff to do for SimBin. I still want to finish this track but at the moment it's out of my hands. If there is news, here's the first place I'll announce itby _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Brilliant piece of work my friend! It's very complete and will surely help lots of talents to a new level of understanding 3d. Funny, I never usaw the importance of the MUL button, I see that you do I always use SEL in object level, select the objects I want and then get into face level. I also use the separated selection a lot.by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Aid, that's an amazing model already. Very smooth and realistic, I love the "garland" of lights!by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
When you put GP4 next to other sims the loading is indeed a problem. The developer made it the wrong way round. I don't mind waiting one or two minutes for the loading of a session. I do mind making changes in car setup, display settings, track settings and then having to load it all again. I still have a lot of fun playing GP4 as it is the best F1 sim to date in my opinion and most of the tby _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
These tracks look amazing. I'd love to race my C9 on themby _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4

Thanks, we didn't have the time to sort it out back then. I will have a look at it and if it's ok I will put it online as an updateby _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Nice work Kev, good to see you're still updating GP4 in all these years.by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
