The process of reloading all my GP3 downloads has picked up again after my holiday, with all of the content on the Carsets Page being re-enabled. You can now download directly my carsets for
Formula 1 seasons 1988, 1989 and 2003
IRL seasons 2002 and 2003
F-3000 season 2002
All being hosted now on zUpload.com, which deletes files after 30 days if not downloaded. so report any broken links

Grand Prix 3 I've now found a new host for all my downloads and am slowly rebuilding the site. The URLs are the same as they ever were, except that the download files themselves are now being hosted on zUpload.com. If a file isn't downloaded in 30 days, it will be deleted and I won't know until one of you tells me, but given that every one of my files used to get downloaded every month at lea

Grand Prix 3 I am hoping that all of my old downloads will be available again soon - I am intending to rebuild the site using zUpload as a host, to overcome bandwidth restrictions that led to me having to close it in the first place.

Grand Prix 3 I had to delete the downloads when my ISP took down my site after one day's download's exceeded my alloted bandwidth by over 40%. After thinking it through, rather than rebuild the site, I've e-mailed Bruno to ask if he would host the files, but at 186MB in total, there's a lot of it.

Grand Prix 3 Your Christmas present from the Pen is waiting at The Smoking Pen's GP3 Pages in the form of a serious update, with the GP3v1.13 carsets from the British to the Italian Grands Prix released, as well as the second service pack for the GP3-2000 season set, also taking you to the Italian Grand Prix. Work is underway on the final three race sets, following which I will be releasing the long-del

The .set files I was referring to were the ones in the section of belini's post - follow that and you won't go wrong. When I'm creating carsets, I use ArtTool 2000, but copy across an existing set of .jams from GP3, so that you get the right .jam numbers, then duplicate them so that you get one per car as opposed to one per team, (you need two per team for GP3-2000).

Grand Prix 3 The reason you can't see the cars is that the game isn't finding the liveries. Make sure you have the jams in the right place and that they are correctly named. I don't use carset creator - I get down and dirty with the text files. Download a carset that works, (one of mine or Ralph Hummerich's) and see how it works in the text. Check the path files in my .zip files - they

Grand Prix 3 F1 2004 for GP3v1.1.3 by the Smoking Pen reaches Indianapolis with the (slightly delayed) release of the carset for the US Grand Prix to go with my ongoing saunter through this season. Now available at The Smoking Pen's GP3 pages, as are, (once again), the 1988 and 1989 carsets.
Enjoy!

Grand Prix 3 I've now released the first service pack, (so to speak) for my F1 2004 carset for GP3 Season 2000, taking the original release to the Canadian Grand Prix on my F1 Season 2004 page. The update also includes a number of files which were missing from the earliest release of the original carset.
I've updated the main carset to Canada as well, so you don't need to download the servi

Grand Prix 3 Speed Addict - I don't know when I'll be able to re-enable to other carsets, it depends how the downloads go over the next month or so. Except for the 198X carsets, all Smoking Pen carsets are illustrated with the original GP3 and GP3-2000 shapes on the website, as they are the ones everyone has.

Grand Prix 3 Now that all the furore caused by downloads of the carsets for the first four races from The Smoking Pen's F1 Season 2004 Carsets page has died down and I'm back under the 250MB per day limit, I can start releasing the rest of the stuff - but go easy, guys, no need to rush!

Grand Prix 3 My ISP has complained about the bandwidth downloads from my site are using - I'm allowed 250MB per day and yesterday wasn't the first time it's exceeded 300MB, (the actual figure was 432.83MB). They're threating to shut me down if it doesn't stop, so I've disabled all non-F1 2004 carsets as a temporary measure. If that doesn't get me under the limit, I may hav

Grand Prix 3 I use Paintshop Pro to create my cars. You need to get your head around working with layers - to see what I mean, you can download a template for an F1 2004 car from . Basically, using layers enables you to overlay images one on top of the other, so that you can, (for example), delete or replace a sponsor without having to redo the whole car. Typically, I use between 15 and 20 layers in a car

Grand Prix 3 All new at my F1 2004 page is F1 Season 2004 from the Smoking Pen. Featuring the first four races of the season, (so far - more to come soon), there are versions for both GP3v1.1.3 and GP3 Season 2000. This adds to the team arts released last week.
I've updated the 11th team car template to include a Photoshop .psd file as well as the Paintshop Pro file previously released.

Grand Prix 3 I presume you mean in the graphic at the top of this thread, as the team arts has the new Williams shape. There are two reasons - first, the Williams wasn't finished when you posted and, second, the carshape is seperate from the car skin. Calimbo and I have taken different routes to try to "deal with" the nose, mine being based around the fact that I have done a GP3v1.13 carset an

I can save files from Paintshop Pro into .psd format, but I have no way to test if the format actually works in Photoshop. If you e-mail me, I will send you a test file and, if it works, will add that to the template download.
