A great race. I am impressed by Louis after the event. Emotions were high and some hot words said but I think the real champ showed his true colours that day. Max drove a great race and for decades the stewards decisions will be discussed. But, although Louis lost the race and the championship, I think he won the day. Hi John, Will give this a go. The reason I like GP4 is easy of the game with setup and running. I tried other racing games like F1-2010 etc but you have to be a F1 mechanic/tech to work out how to get the car running. I have gone through and added all the *.exe files in GP4 to the 'Allow' list in Bullguard and restarted the PC. GP4 now runs from GPXPatch, thanks again fby Lumpy20 - Grand Prix 4

Yeah, AV and Firewall was OFF (Bullguard). Don't know what is different but now but GP4 working after restart? I did give permission for GP4.exe and GPXPatch to run in Bullguard so this might have been an issue? Regards, Khby Lumpy20 - Grand Prix 4

Not sure if it was me but GP4 no longer runs on my Win 10 PC. It did run GP4 OK, with GPXPatch, before the Anniversary update loaded on Monday. Is there a way to get it up and running again. PS: I turned the firewall, Bullguard, off and tried XP SP3 as well as Windows 8 and set GP4 to 'run as administrator' PC is Asus Z97-K, i5 4750, 16Gb, WD 1Tb x 2, GTX250 x 2, Win 10 Proby Lumpy20 - Grand Prix 4

Thanks for the tip. New version of GPxPatch is now working. Also previously I had 2 x ASUS 22" displays (16:10) but added a new (secondhand) 24" ASUS (16:9) I think this might have also created some issues. GPxPatch Program Error after latest Win 10 Update - 8 years ago
After latest update on Windows 10, 15/06/2016, GP4 has 'first chance exception' errors and drops out. I have tried GPxPatch but get same results. I also have a new 24" Asus display? I have tried locking in display 'dpi' in compatibility options but no difference. Does anyone have a work around? Hi, Just setup Momo wheel with correct driver, lgs_510x64, and the wheel now shows force feedback led (RH). Is there a walk-through for getting the wheel setup in GP4? Yes, I think this happened by default after gpxpatch ran. I checked your suggestion and Legacy and Direct Play are installed. GP4 runs fine now to get a basic steering wheel. They have increased in price since I last tried GP3. The Aussie dollar is low but GT wheel has gone from $90 to $150+. Thanks for all the help from you guys. It is appreciated. Hi, Thanks so much guys. After all the frustration with GP4 on Win 8.1 and 10 (GP1, GP2, GP3 and Vintage all ran well) the above suggestion for gpxpatch led to the solution. I installed NOCD from this site. I installed gpxpatch and ran it. First try spat me out with a message 'look at the error log'. I had a 1/3 black screen top LH side but Win 10 put up a message 'Instalby Lumpy20 - Grand Prix 4

Hi, I know a lot has been said about running GP4 on Win 10 but i have not had any success with GP4. This is a new 64Bit Win 10 Pro installed on Asus Z97 motherboard. I have set Autorun and GP4.exe to XP SP2 and 'Run as Administrator' in properties but after running Autorun or GP4 nothing happens. Bullguard did capture the files to quarantine but they are now allowed. I did notice durby Lumpy20 - Grand Prix 4

Hi I have a Win 7 Pro, 32bit PC with two graphics cards, GTS250, and three Philips 190B monitors. GP3 runs, after manually selecting the correct video card, previous to this a very distorted screen presented but could race? GP4 however does not run and I have tried every compatibility setting, including run as administrator as well as adding GP4.exe to DEP under 'performance options�by Lumpy20 - Grand Prix 4

Hi, I have the complete log but it is 124 pages long in Word pad. Do you want me to list the entire log? Also installed GP3, updated to GP3-2000, on the same PC and get some crashes on exit although I can play a full game. GP3-2000 (and GP3) crashes when I try to calibrate the graphics card. If I skip this and just run GP3 and set graphics manually all is fwine except on exit as menby Lumpy20 - Grand Prix 4

Hi, After a new install of Windows 7 Pro (32Bit) I installed GP4 onto my games drive F:/ Some issues with running, black screen and "GP4.exe has stopped working" errors. Installed Patch 1.02, No_Cd_1.02, GPXPatch from this site I ran the Windows 7 Compatibility test, and it told me that f1system.txt was not found but it is there in the directory with the standard info. Hi all. Its been a while but reinstalled GP4 basic and run. Inital Simergy logo, half black screen, full black screen then drops out, screen backgroung blue with displaced icons. Installed Patch 9.6 and unlocked GP4.exe file, then ran through gpxpatch 3.93, still same result. Setup: XP Pro SP3, GA-EP35-DS35, Dual Core Intel, 4Gb Ram, 2 x 500Gb Sata HDD, 4 x 19" HDMI - XVGA displaysby Lumpy20 - Grand Prix 4

Hi Solution found: add /Pages/UGG.php "GP4 only shows me a black screen and come back to desktop at starting This trouble has been experimented by several users and is related to printer drivers that has been installed. Hi Reinstalled GP4 and program starts, shows the Macrovision logo - screen, goes to black screen then drops out back to the XP Desktop. I have tried compatibility mode, 98/ME, at low resolution but the same. The problem happens with both my and my friends genuine install CD. Hi, Thanks for the help. I think that you are right as I tried to open the CAB files, 1 & 2, but they don't open, from the CD or when copied over to the HDD. Hi, New PC running XP Pro SP3 and just reinstalled GP4 with everything looking OK. However when started the program gets to the Smart Diskstart screen, the loads a black background and mouse pointer then drops back to desktop. Installed officialGP4 Patch 9.6, same result as above.
