GP4 - Multiple Monitors

Hi,

After a new install of Windows 7 Pro (32Bit) I installed GP4 onto my games drive F:/

Some issues with running, black screen and "GP4.exe has stopped working" errors.

Installed Patch 1.02, No_Cd_1.02, GPXPatch from this site

I ran the Windows 7 Compatibility test, and it told me that f1system.txt was not found but it is there in the directory with the standard info.

The compatibility test did suggest run in XP SP2 mode which I have done.

Still have issues running GP4.

Desktop icon still asks for DirectX 8.1 although I have run the install from the CD but get the usual message that it is already installed.

Could the issue be the three monitors running on the Win 7 system? Or is it something else.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Do not use the desktop shortcut. Delete it and recreate one directly from the game exe.
I remind there was an issue with original desktop icon...
