Disk Install Fails [fixed]

Hi,

New PC running XP Pro SP3 and just reinstalled GP4 with everything looking OK.

However when started the program gets to the Smart Diskstart screen, the loads a black background and mouse pointer then drops back to desktop.

Installed officialGP4 Patch 9.6, same result as above.

Installed NO-CD gp4.exe and get this error report:
AppName: gp4.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: gp4.exe
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 001b8d3b

I did get the program to go further but it reported missing files, binkw32.dll as well as others.

I suspect that my genuine GP4 CD is faulty and not installing all the necessary files.

Any help would be appreciated.

That is a faulty disc. As you already own a genuine cd, there is no reason why you could not download an iso or similar to get you out of trouble.

Thanks for the help.

I think that you are right as I tried to open the CAB files, 1 & 2, but they don't open, from the CD or when copied over to the HDD.

Could you please point me in the direction of an ISO file?

The Setup.ini file has 5 key codes:

key0=0x0009
key1=0x040c
key2=0x0007
key3=0x0010
key4=0x000a
