That isn't confirmed. They still need to pass the roll-hoop, lateral nose and frontal crash tests first, which are the three it failed on last time.by 97kirkc - F1
The speed of the cars may level out to last years despite the differing diffuser/exhaust layout. Remember the tyres are softer this season than last and Renault have stated with the engine maps back to 'normal' there should be around a 20 to 30 hp increase and faster straight line speeds.by 97kirkc - F1
It is indeed a splitter type aero device, but it's not new. Williams were the first to feature this on the 2009 car and McLaren have had this on the car since 2010.by 97kirkc - F1
The Bianchi idea has come out of nowhere, which means I have to question the source of the Austrian paper that it came from. Remember, it was translated and we know what can conveniently happen in those instances. Either that or Ferrari have got a lot of money to through Williams way to secure the seat. The PDVSA backing is rumoured to be in the region of $25 million for next season with increby 97kirkc - F1

The Toyota engine was indeed weak, where the '06 Cosworth suffered from a poor installation more than anything else. The biggest clue with the Toyota? Check out Williams results for Monza with the Toyota engine then check out how they did last season with a change of engine supplier. The Cosworth engine is indeed a pretty good unit, and that has always been stated. The Williams drivers aby 97kirkc - F1
As a long time Williams fan as well, I am happy, but keeping that happiness in check. The car has been the let down so far, not the Cosworth engine, and this isn't suddenly going to be an instant success in 12 months. While a new technical direction is good, 2 out of the 3 new recruits haven't been in F1 in a good few years, but the link up with a manufacturer should generate more coby 97kirkc - F1

I posted this over at another forum, but thought I would post it here as well just in case anyone was thinking about going to the Grand Prix at some point. --- As some of you have seen on Twitter, I have been lucky enough to do this for Monaco 2011 and it was such an awesome weekend that I would probably do this again in the future. But this would be quite far in the future due to the sheerby 97kirkc - F1

You won't ever see those at the same event, so it doesn't really matter. To be honest I think Pirelli have dropped the ball on this one. The idea is to make it simple, not having to remember colour codes for every possible compound. How on earth is the casual fan going to remember all that? They should have just done a difference between option and prime rather than every compound,by 97kirkc - F1
I wouldn't read too much into this - this article is from the same person that wrote another article saying the 2010 F1 season would be the most boring season ever.by 97kirkc - F1

Erm, changing currency does not equal cheaper. $800 IS £500 converted, which is a stupidly high price for what it is. It's meant to be filling a gap between a laptop and a netbook, and you can get a decent laptop in this day and age for £500. You aren't going to even attract your target audience when the benchmark you're going against is doing it for about £200 cheaper a unit. Iby 97kirkc - Off-Topic
