I got rid of steam a while back (God knows why!!!!!) but I cant remember, can it pause downloads and carry on? Silly question because I guess the answer is yes, but clarification is always good :p

Something else that someone on the Codemasters forums picked up was that the pole position is on the wrong side for Spa.

I get the feeling that there will be quite a few of these errors that 95% of the people who play the game will never notice, but it becomes annoying for those who follow F1 closely

since we're at it, the section between massenet and casino in Monaco seems a bit longer than what it looks in reality. don't know if it's the final version or not but that's what i get from the videos i've seen

not something that worries me too much as my primary racing game atm is rfactor and honestly there are far worse errors there, but still

I agree that they've disappointed us with some early promises, to me it seems the lead guys really wanted to make this game the F1 fans' dream. Stephen Hood sounds very sincere, passionate, and trustworthy from what I've seen. To me it seems like there's an upper hand from CodeMasters keeping costs to a certain level and that may be the reason behind some things not being done.

not until 2011 season, if you watch the two video interviews above with Steven Hood he explains about it

they didnt design the sneaky route at spa at Les Combes that Vettel used when he had his puncture... :P

Hey, that's (for the most part) the old track! Calling it merely a "sneaky route" is almost sacrilege! ;)

It's harder to be more epic that Spa, but old Spa manages it.

Some twitter updates from Ant Davidson this morning

Off to Codemasters today to play the game and to do some more interviews. Then off to Peugeot UK in the afternoon!

Just got into playing f1 2010 again at Codemasters. In 35 laps I'm topping the leader board at Melbourne! It really is a top game.

Car feeling a bit more grippy than real life but improvements have def been made since my last visit. Trust me, you're going to LOVE IT

On my last lap heading to the line I almost forgot to shift to 7th as I was too busy punching the air!! Lol

Simon Strang from Autosport steps up. I reckon I'm safe as he's off at turn 1 on lap 1!! [twitpic.com]

Simon just asked to 'have a go without driver aids'... This time he's in the barrier HARD at turn 1!...and turn 2....he's given up

Just been focusing on the wet with @t4rg4. It plays very well and looks so realistic! Track? Spa of course! [twitpic.com]

just seen some of the comments from the reviews by gaming magazines, overall theyre very impressed with the way it handles

Got to play it again today, this time with a slightly better steering wheel (with light force feedback) on the Xbox 360, but in the same racing seat as shown here before. More importantly, I had all the time I wanted to drive around Spa-Francorchamps, so I could experiment a bit with what's the best way to play this.

The physics in this just feel so... good! You can really feel exactly what the car does, from the way it goes up and down slopes to hitting kerbstones or losing the back end. The best part of this game is the actual driving: getting your braking point just right, steering into the corner and heading out at full speed - it's an absolute delight to do it, time and time again, because it feels properly satisfying. And really fast, too.

Not to mention that the real suspension physics have just been put in the final code (I was playing with a near-final one). I expect those to only improve the way you connect with the car as soon as you play, but we'll see in the final game.

Also, the game just looks gorgeous. Gone is the annoying brownish filter that hindered DiRT 1 & 2 and (mostly) GRID, even to the delight of the Codemasters PR manager who I was talking to The framerate seems to hold up pretty well, although I've mostly been doing time trial runs without opponents. (I did do a proper race on Monza later on, but that was with the PC version on a Logitech G27 steering wheel - pretty sweet, too).

Official Playstation Magazine: What it all adds up to is a sense of danger (and exhilaration) that's greater than we've seen in the genre before."

"It's one of the most terrifying and intense racers ever made," the review concludes.

Anyone who thinks this game is being pushed out for the casual player has completely missed the point. I'm not a casual racing player, and I have plenty of the hardcore elements I want to see in this game

Really looking forward to this actually!

Am I just being lazy and stupid, but whats the info on career mode?

I guess, its start with Lotus/Virgin/HRT/STR or something, do one season then maybe improve team? How will that work? I guess due to licensing and crap that drivers such as Lewis will not move to Ferrari...

Career mode gives 3 options. 3, 5, and 7 years. If you do 3 years you can start on a top team, 7 is the bottom 3. Due to the licensing no F1 game can have driver changes or sponsorship changes in the teams :P.
