What's with the gritty sound before you reapply the throttle?

I'm not sure, only had an hour with it before i had to go.

Could be the tyre sqealing, bad recording on my camera, or the force feedback kicking in?

I'll find out later, i think it could be the sound reverberating around the room, but i can't be sure.

EDIT: i think it's the sound of the wheel, you can hear it after the tunnel when i exit the chicane.

Good vids there... Jealous doesnt begin to describe what im feeling ... Its more like a hatred ;)!

Watching your wheel inputs and the ingame steering has given more confidence than watching the other videos! What aids were you using if any? You were using manual gears, and from what I could see there was no anti-lock brakes... So i guess you had no aids whatsoever?

Good new's about the control pad. I figure if I can just about drive LFS and GPL with a gamepad, F1 2010 should be perfect.

Just a dumb question that I realize now. No rear-view mirrors?? And can you change the cockpit camera a little backwards (it's too close to the wheel) like in GP4, Rfactor, GTR2, etc??

@Rocker, you can't move the view in cockpit mode, the mirrors work, but not so well, GP4 has better mirrors.

@Chet, no aids were used, if you watched till the end you'll see me go to options and show the aids were off.

ralv are you playing on the 360? I am playing on the 360 and i have experienced some annoying frame drops at the bahrain practice. Havent tried other tracks yet but the frame drops were really annoying, especially at the long straight.

So I got the game for PC and it's pretty good my only gripe, is that it's impossible to lock the wheels no matter how hard you brake. Does anyone that also has the game know if you can actually watch the other cars in practice while you are in the garage? I haven't found any way to do it but even f1 ce had that option.

Got it on the PS3 Kaid, haven't experience any slowdown yet, only driven one race, and few laps here and there.

Robitussin, do you have abs on?

I've locked my wheels a few times.

I have every aid off ralv and now that I have a little more time with the game I find it more and more similar to f1ce, maybe even more forgiving specially the damage way too unrealistic.

Just played around a bit. I haven't tried my steering wheel yet, but it looks like it's quite easy... Funny is when you go to the pit, and brake too late, sending the front jack man flying!

As former speaker said, the damage level is far un-realistic....
Been crashing hard and all it does is hearing from the pits that
you have picked up dirt on the tires, so take it slow.

What I noticed that was really sad is that you can't see any replay,
just instant replay, but that just like 15 seconds back.

What I loved in GP4 was that you could watch your race in complete
afterwards. That was a great feeling, also you can select no driver
and watch the computer race iteself.

Even in Forza 3 you can see your driving afterwards!

Any tips how you could enable replays, been looking but can't
find anything...

Otherwise, been playing it on 360 for 7 hours now and it feels good
and the graphics is great, but it feels that something is missing...

Guess it could be that you can't look at your driving afterwards (N)

/DucatiHaSSe (B)

Edit: Well, now I see on the video on bottom of page 43 that
he shows a replay of his race.. hmmm... Must go back and look ;-)
Then it is possible... GREAT!!

Edit #2: Think I got it now, when I installed the game to 360 HD the
replay option popped-up when the session was over. Nice
replay, smooth cameras, looks great!

Edit #3: As more of you guys stated "IT'S GROWING ON YOU!!".
The more I play, the more I like it. Yes! There is parts
that needs to be fixed but a really good base to start
from for 2011, 2012 etc. Back to replays...
As someone said here, they seems to only be at carrer/season
mode. For others who complains on the tracks!
Have any of you tried a F1 car around them?
Just wonder as many of you seems to know exactly how
it feels and should be. The only thing we can do is compare
to onboard laps from TV or ask someone who is a friend and
F1 driver :-O

I'll get this off ebay, A$54-95 & $8-00 postage. F1 2010 0n ebay (Aus sellers) Cheapest I can find anywhere.
It's already all over the torrent sites, uploaded yesterday by the look of it. 244 seeding a crack with 19 leechers, 85 seeding an iso with 3471 leechers. Jeebus on a stick! :-) Codemasters wouldn't be amused lol. I guess if you download it, like it and then buy it so you could play online it's ok. I wouldn't think all those users with the same serial would be able to get online.

Definitely agree that damage is way to forgiving on this. Crashing in Monaco for example feels like nothing happened.

It's definitely more challenging then I expected. E.g. You will spin at some points with no TC if you push it too much, rain will hand your ass to you if you drive like it's dry weather.
This was all with a controller though, probably much easier to play with a wheel.

Some shots from my first race on f1 2010 . Vettel race pretty hard on this, without crashing for once though!

Well another thing I am not liking is the performance of some drivers in the game, the Williams for example are awfully slow lagging in 18 to 20 place while Chandhok just got to Q2 in Melbourne, that's just plain wrong.

Should've done what I did and follow Dave's website offer, shopto.net - I'm 34 quid out of pocket, which is around 55 oz bucks, including postage. And they emailed yesterday saying it's been posted...woooo
