F1 Manager - 2005 Season - End of the Season!

"We're pretty satisfied with today's result. Jacques has showed some great driving skills. Michael simply couldn't keep up with Massa's pace."

My GPGSL Career
Impressed with Davidson's tenacity. Wasn't expecting any points but being two places away is good considering our pace, well, disappeared.

Sauber

Very strong showing for Button in his home race, nick over drove the car and kill it, if Jenson keeps his Pace he might keep his seat will see.
Jordan

Very disappointing result, double DNF, and even if we had finished points would have been far away. We have to work hard now to get back to where we were at the start of the season.

Toyota

Another great drive from cristiano to finish 4th from a lowly grid spot so good job from him...As for Ralf,he really needs to up is performance in the next few races as the car is capable of a lot more than he is showing..All in all an ok weekend for us :)
BAR
Satisfied with Takuma's 6th, but we were SO CLOSE to the podium! Loose Wheel happened in the worst moment for Giancarlo...
Ferrari

We are more then pleased with Massa's performance in the race, he kept his head cool and did what he needed to do, awaiting for the strategy that paid out, Alonso had a lot of traffic in the race and couldn't really focus like he would have wanted, he still got us some valuable points that keeps us in the lead of the WCC ahead of the strong looking Williams, we will really need to keep fighting to keep them behind us, they showed here today that they aren't so far behind anymore!!
We are hoping to see a double podium finish in the next few races, Alonso will be needed to keep up his pace, if he can't continue to fight for the championship we might consider letting Verstappen drive for some races as a reference for the car

Renault Complete Driver Line up with Double Signing
Just a week after Arrows became the first team to complete their driver lineup for 2006, Renault have quickly followed suit after signing both Fernando Alonso from Ferrari and Jenson Button from Sauber, to complete their lineup. The team revealed that both drivers had signed two year deals with the team with Alonso signing a £17m contract, despite receiving an offer from current employers Ferrari, to return to the team he raced for in 2003 before enduring a poor season at McLaren in 2004 and a mildly average season so far in 2005 in which he is languishing 24 points behind championship leader and team mate Felipe Massa. Meanwhile Button is also making a return to Renault having previously left the team in 2002 with the signing of a contract worth around £12m and in turn, completing his third team change in three seasons which includes spells at BAR in 2003 and a drive alongside Alonso at McLaren in 2004.

Hi
i just found this thread, and it's absolutely amazing what you're doing. Atm i'm reading the old topics because it's fun to read them.

Is it possible to get me on Waiting List, too?
Greetings

Another DNF. On the verge of selling up. Had enough of this

I must agree there are always a lot of DNF's, maybe the failure rate can be brought down a little bit?

Tbh at the beginning of the season the failure values weren't that extreme, it's just the amount of managers choosing to focus repeatedly on pace that has caused it to sky rocket for some teams. Anyway if no one is extremely against the idea I can easily modify the formula to nerf the failure values slightly :)

I've been focusing on reliability :O

In all honesty John your failures seem to come from pure luck rather than testing choices as, on paper, McLaren are slightly better than the average for reliability and actually, there are a couple more teams on that list who are in a similar position...

But anyway as I said I can reduce the failure values if no one is majorly against it.

Also just in case you missed my last post, are you still happy to run the German GP John? :)

Me too in the last two test sessions. But since I started focusing on it, my cars like to retire. Maybe I should have continued focusing on pace ;)

EDIT:
@twigster: I don't mind if you adjust it slightly, as long as the cars don't get indestructible again like last season

I had missed it. I just got a new PC so would need you to send me the mod again but ofcourse I'll run the German GP :)

Okay great! However I need to update the mod as after looking at the last race there still seems to be a non-tobacco McLaren livery still in the mod, so I'll replace that and insert the updated perf files once the other managers have had their say and send you the link then :)

And don't worry Kedy, I've no intention of making them indestructible again ;-)

Good to hear that :)

Btw, next semester starts this week, but if I find some time I'll run another race this season.
