Perfs are now correct and declared GREEN!

Ross Cartwright's perf penalty had been omitted and Tobias Kederer is now re-installed at TSS as tester #27

Ruben has a good point there...

I think that all the races next season should be run at the same percentage value. Then it wouldn't matter which race you picked for boost weather wise. Average out all the percentages used every season, it would mean 20 percent chance of rain per race. What does everyone think?

I totally agree. If the weather will be less predictable it will bring a extra dimension to the planning of teamboost usage.

It depends how much rain you want. In GP4, 19% seems to be the 'magic number' for rain percentage. Below that and you very rarely get rain, above that and you get a lot of rain.

I think that the rain percentage should be done as a random draw just after the performances go green.

Agree with SchueyFan.

Unless I'm very much mistaken... I am very much mistaken!
I vote for Ed's suggestion.

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
Ed's suggestion might throw up accusations of cheating/ weather manipulation in favour of the respective RD (teambosses) of that moment.

I DO THINK OUR RD's ARE HONEST, however this rulechange is not bulletproof.
Therefor i'd still support Stuarts idea.

Oh I'm not too sure about this to be honest...in my opinion there is already too much of a "pot-luck" element to boosts anyway let alone another factor being introduced.

Before the start of season 7, the GPGSL will discuss the introduction of a blanket 20% weather for all races on the calendar.

I agree with Rico's worries, although I, too, think that this shouldn't be too much of a problem. Anyway, as Ed mentioned the magic 19%, I'd suggest another possibility:

Why not split the races in 0%,18%,20% and 50% races but do not draw them randomly but purposely, including the ideas of where they are located, before the start of a season. This would mean to trust into the governing body to choose wisely and correctly, but I have the trust in them to do so.

What I think is to put tracks like Dubai or Abu Dhabi at 0%, tracks like Melbourne or Montreal at 18%, tracks like LeMans, Hockenheimring, Zandvoort etc. at 20% and tracks like Silverstone or Spa at 50% (or even more?)

This way we have a clear tendency before the season again which is rather bulletproof. Yet we have only a few tracks with really 0% chance of rain and more tension is built for the other tracks. Nevertheless we avoid such peculiarities like the S5 Dubai race (which was so great for me but nevertheless ridiculous ;-) )

ah, i remember that one. i was rd so it was at least partially my fault (or my pc's fault to be fair). epic stuff :P

used to be GPGSL's Nick Heidfeld
I think that there is a distinct possibility that the weather for season 7 will be set according to the venue as outlined by John, so we won't be having venues with ridiculous weather. :-)

that would add a touch of realism to the league:-)No more rain at Dubai!;)

My GPGSL Career
Unless there are no other offers to do the Spa round, I shall do it as I have some spare time this weekend :-)

I will run the test session later tonight, upload tomorrow night. The rest is yours and thanks Stu. :-)

This weekend could be a bit difficult, with so much boost and a long track, it could be difficult to keep up, but I hope we can get as high as possible.

Oh and I'm away from tomorrow til Tuesday (13th), shouldn't cause any problems as i should be able to post in the activity window, but just incase ;-)
